We gave you a proposal and you requested that we come out and do the work. The proposal was $2,856 initially. We could have charged you the total proposal price but since we did not have to replace any roofing we deducted the roofing portion and profit and overhead to make it cheaper for you already. The cost of the construction industry is very high right now. We charge less than other Contractors. The price was reduced by almost $1000 already. And an additional $800 totaling around $1,800. At this point I think the repair was cheap. FYI nobody uses redwood to make repairs anymore. Unless requested and that would have Cost triple on materials. I did a final walkthrough and didn’t see any dirt on the tile and there shouldn’t have been any as we did not do any outside work on the ground so if I missed some I apologize. You should have asked us to charge hourly plus materials and that may or may not have saved you money. This is just how proposals/estimates work. If you want to hire someone cheap I would recommend hiring a handyman next time. I have messaged you directly to see if we can come to an agreement to find a solution to make you feel better about it. It was a pleasure meeting you and we hope that we can come to an agreement.
