We are very happy with the results and would like to give 4.5 stars if we could. They're a great company to work with and the job was fairly priced and done well. We would definitely work with CVB again. In addition to the kitchen remodel, they also did work on another house project and we were thoroughly satisfied. Our only suggestion is for the crew to be better prepared when getting to the job site. Additional time was spent collecting/buying tools and material after arriving.

The remodel went well. They were thorough, professional, detail oriented, ensured the job was done correctly, used good materials, and communicated what they were doing throughout. The shower looks beautiful, we love it.

Really terrific contractor, no stuff and has a great network of subs to get the job done. Friendly, responsive, shows up when he says he’s going to show up, I don’t think you could ask for more from a contractor! Good work, attention to detail, and I’m very happy with the project.

Jake completed our home remodel in a short time but with complete attention to detail. He worked closely with us to ensure the finished product was exactly what we were looking for and made quick and efficient returns to the house for any of the punch list items after we moved in. Would highly recommend and definitely would use Coastal View for future projects of our own!

Jake is very friendly. In the end I felt over charged for the work done. It only took 4 hours for his hard worker, who only spoke Spanish, to do the job, Jake was gone95% of the time and didn’t return until the job was done. His estimate was significant for the end amount of work. He took some off the initial estimate after I brought up that it was instead of 2 workers only 1 and for 8 hours, which ended up being half. I was not thrilled. Job site cleanup charge for $250. there was no clean up. dirt all over my tile floor and dirt all over the ceiling attic cover that I had to then drag my ladder in to clean up. Materials charge for $600.? a few pieces of cheaper wood than the redwood the house was built with. a few screws? I’m sorry I am a senior as well. I honestly don’t feel this job should have cost 2k. I have owned 3 different homes, I will never go with 1 estimate again. Just being honest here.

"Hi [Member Name Removed]. We are sorry you feel this way You requested that we come out and give you a free proposal to do the project/repair. We gave you a proposal and you requested that we come out and do the work. The proposal was $2,856 initially. We could have charged you the total proposal price but since we did not have to replace any roofing we deducted the roofing portion and profit and overhead to make it cheaper for you already. The cost of the construction industry is very high right now. We charge less than other Contractors. The price was reduced by almost $1000 already. And an additional $800 totaling around $1,800. At this point I think the repair was cheap. FYI nobody uses redwood to make repairs anymore. Unless requested and that would have Cost triple on materials. I did a final walkthrough and didn’t see any dirt on the tile and there shouldn’t have been any as we did not do any outside work on the ground so if I missed some I apologize. You should have asked us to charge hourly plus materials and that may or may not have saved you money. This is just how proposals/estimates work. If you want to hire someone cheap I would recommend hiring a handyman next time. I have messaged you directly to see if we can come to an agreement to find a solution to make you feel better about it. It was a pleasure meeting you and we hope that we can come to an agreement. We want to make everyone happy at the end of the day. Have a great day."

I referred Jake Curtis to my parents to do a French drain. Jake did an excellent job! He had great communication with my father during the whole project and ran different ideas by him to make sure that what was done would be satisfying to him.
