Our neighborhood hired Bay Area Grading and Paving to completely replace our common 600 foot long private road in west Sonoma County. Shawn and his crew showed up on time, worked straight through 3 days and left us with a beautiful and well built asphalt road. 5 stars.

I would give them five because they showed them on time, and they had all the equipment that they needed. kept to their estimate. And finished it in less than two days

Our Driveway parking area is well over 1K sq. ft. Shawn did a great job repaving our existing 30yr old driveway parking area, with fresh hot mix asphalt and sealer, filling all pot holes & cracks. His workers are fast, courteous, and careful. The fresh asphalt averaged 3" to 5" thick, so this wasn't a skim-coating job. Our driveway now looks brand new.

Saw ad in Angie's List Magazine and it stated he did Residential. When my husband called he left a message and the guy called back and said that he doesn't do residential. I feel like we were discriminated.

We have a long, skinny rural property with a sports court at the back. One of the winter storms uprooted several trees, one of which damaged the concrete apron of the sports court. We called Bay Area Grading and Pavinfg and the owner, Shawn, came out to the property to look at the damage. Since the damage involved several trees, he indicated that he could also include tree removal in his estimate. He committed to have any estimate for us by the close of business the following day. That was the last time we had any communication from him. Because their aren't many concrete repair firms in the area, and because we prefer to deal with Angie's List businesses, we have repeatedly tried to speak to Shawn and he was always on another line or not available. We are baffled. It is our hope that nothing bad has happened to him, or to his business. Buy we also wish that someone would explain to us why we haven't heard from him or soameone else in his business.

Everything went great. They even came back to repair a section that was damaged after the repair by a delivery truck. A previous review said they did not do any work but just got an estimate and the owner was not and quot;quickand quot; on getting back to them. I think that is in the nature of small contracting businesses. What is important is if they do a good job, do what they say they are going to do, and do it at a fair price. I got other estimates, and the price was fair, and they did more repair work AND a second coat of sealer, which was not in the other estimates. I can definitely recommend and will use again when I need more sealer (in 3 to 5 years!)

I called Shawn Peterson the owne to schedule an appt for an estimate and I briefly explained what it is that I want done. We agreed that we would be match and scheduled an appt. One and a half hours after our scheduled appt he had not shown up nor called. I called him to find out that he had written the appt in his schedule book but forgot about it and besides that he was stuck on a job in an other county. Therefore, I told him I do not want to reschedule. This is NOT a good impression.
