Called provider on Sat - reached on-call service and was informed that weekend rates were higher. Since it was not an emergency, decided to wait for a weekday appointment.
Left a message over the weekend with the provider via Angie's list messaging service but received no acknowledgment they received said message. This is not a ding on the provider, just a note for anyone who might find this provider on Angie's List so they know they should call the provider directly.
Called Monday Morning 11/03/2014 08:40 - the provider offered a time range between 11am-12pm same day.
Called dispatch at 12:15pm to get an update on technician's expected arrival time. They explained I was next on the list and that he would be arriving soon.
Technician arrived about 1pm - aside from being outside the expected arrival window, the technician was polite, and very professional. I would not hold the late arrival against the technician as it is possible there were scheduling issues at the dispatch office.
I walked the technician around the property and showed him what locks I needed changed - 6 in all with one that it turned out had no current key - The tech was finished in less than 40 Minutes to include an issue with one lock that required my assistance.
I asked for 3 keys and the tech had them ready along with the original old key used in the re-key process.
The total for this wonderful, and speedy, service was significantly less than it would have cost to have one of my door hardware sets replaced with a new set of the same quality or the cost for 4 simple lock sets.
All in all, I am very pleased with the provider and the tech in question. I will certainly use them in the future should the need arise.

I went to Salinas store with 3 locks to be re-keyed. They did them as I waited. Very pleasant and did a great job. I would use them again.

The technician was running late; the dispatcher called about 20 minutes after he was due to arrive to let me know. He called about an hour later, asking if it was convenient for him to still come over. He arrived about 30 minutes after that, having stopped to pick up another lock so that there were two choices of locks. He did a great job, rekeying the locks, trading out one deadbolt to a new location and installing a new deadbolt that matched the door handle. He cleaned up completely.

The experience with American Lock and Key was very good.
