ALL STAR CLEANING

Getting a hold of Marlin was tough. No one ever answered the phone when I called during business hours (he has an automated phone attendant). He would return my calls in the evening, but not to the cell phone number that I gave him for reaching me after hours. I think he's a one man operation, and if he's cleaning carpets, he can't answer the phone. We played phone tag for almost a week. However, once I got a hold of him, I got a great work with a can-do attitude. The power company had shut off my power early (I'm renting out my condo - so it's been vacant for a couple of weeks), but Marlin said we could find a solution. He brought a 100 ft. extension cord and when my neighbor said we could use her power outlet on her patio, Marlin jumped her wall to plug in the cord. I had to go back to work while Marlin worked, and gave him the key and told him to lock up when he was done. I came back later in the evening to check on everything and he had not only cleaned the carpets beautifully, but he had locked up everything and left the key under the mat.

My carpet was very dirty and spotted. Marlin was great--professional and meticulous. My carpets look great and I will certainly use this company again (and not wait so long).

Most of the furniture and all of the cabinet and closets contents had been removed in preparation for putting the condo on the market for sale. I contacted Marlin, we discussed the specific work to be performed, and he was available to do the work the very next day. He arrived a few minutes late but it was not a problem. We walked through the condo together to review the condition and my expectations. His crew arrived later albeit there is a parking problem in this complex. I asked him when to be back and he gave an approximate time. I appreciated that he called a few hours later to advise me that he needed an additional 1/2 hour to finish. When I arrived at the later time, Marlin and the crew were still working. When he said they were finished and I made a quick inspection thereby discovering several items that had not been cleaned properly; for example, water spots on the bathroom mirror, switch plates had not been wiped, kitchen cabinets had not been cleaned inside or outside, and front of appliances needed wiping. He instructed the crew to correct these items and apologized. I paid him and they left, so did I due to time constraints. When I returned a few days later, I discovered a few more items including carpet cleaning substance that remained on several stairs and more switch plates that had not been wiped clean. Most of what I requested was completed, but I was disappointed about how many of the items I specifically requested had not been completed properly.

I called him--he answered the phone, asked a few questions and gave me a bid of $150, which I thought was a very fair price. We made arrangements for him to come early in the morning (I work and he does not have Satruday bookings). I showed him the spots. He commented that sometimes pet stains are difficult to get up and I told him to do his best. When I came home that night the house had been locked up properly and the carpets were immaculate. I love the process he uses--it seems to be a very fine sawdust which is then vacuumed up. It had no odor and the carpets were very soft. All of the stains came out, and only one really bad one has come back up--it's been 2 weeks and the others seem be be permanently gone. He was professional, competent, absolutely punctual and I will definitely hire him again.

I cannot recommend All Star Cleaning highly enough! Marlin went out of his way to accomodate my time frame and cleaning needs. The carpets had not been cleaned in years and he got out every stain. The house is a three bedroom two bath home with a large family room and the windows had not been cleaned in over 10 years! These were very dirty windows inside and out and they just sparkled when he was done. The shutters were also extremely dirty from years of neglect - they look like new now. The bathrooms were in miserable condition and they look like new now. In addition to the things I mentioned, the house was dusted and the kitchen counters cleaned - none of which I had requested but was thrilled to have done. Marlin was very professional both in person and on the phone. I will certainly call him again.

Arrived when promised(the main reason we changed service from another). Cleaning was well done by the couple and finished when estimated at cost estimated. Have signed up for future cleanings. Very polite and nice.

My wife spoke to Merlin from this company who seemed like a nice person on the phone, so my wife called him in to clean our carpets. The response was good and so the quality and the overall experience.

The 'technician', was actually the owner of the company-Marlin Cardon. Marlin presented himself in a highly professional manner; there were ZERO problems with inappropriate attire or language, perfect English was spoken. The work performed can only be described as meticulous; he scrubbed the cleaner into the carpet in four different directions and vacuumed it up the same way. It was pleasant to see such attention to detail. The results were excellent and I am extremely satisfied. I had previously attempted to 'spot' clean several heavily soiled areas with various different off-the-shelf commercial cleaners. All initially worked, but within a couple of days the stain reappeared. It has been a week since All Star performed its services and the spots have not returned; except on 2 severely stained spots, which I had given up all hope of ever getting rid of, are now almost unnoticeable.

They are prompt in showing up on time. They are very flexible in scheduling appointments. They do a very thorough job. The gentleman who did the service was very courteous and clean.

They did the job to our satisfactory. They usually took about 3 hours to clean. They were personable and trusting, we trusted them within our home without us there. We had no problems.

They were thorough and polite. They were easy to work with. They were also very accommodating. They were really responsive. They were also easy to talk to.

They were very professional and prompt. They were detail oriented and courteous while in my home. They always showed up on time and i would use them again. They did an excellent job.

I used this service for several months before firing them. Once during that time, they lost my house key in the parking lot, and my neighbor found it and gave it back to me. The company owner hadn't even realized it was missing. He begged me to give them another chance, so I did. The last straw was when I called up in advance and arranged to cancel a cleaning, but the crew came anyway. This company is irresponsible beyond belief. The work they did for me varied from okay to below average. Since I was not home when they worked, I assumed that was due to different crews doing the work. I always worried when I knew that they were in my house. My suggestion: find a different cleaning service.

Marlin was able to accommodate the day we wanted. The carpet had not been cleaned in years and had many stains, especially pet stains. (We had to put our elderly cat to sleep this fall and in her last months she didn't bother to use her litter box.) I expected Marlin to get the carpet much cleaner but that some stains might be left. There weren't. He got the carpet looking like new. The other areas of the house hadn't had a thorough cleaning in months. His crew came in and left everything sparkling. I have tried other cleaning services in the last year, and they were much more expensive and either didn't clean thoroughly enough or over-cleaned (practically took the finish off the fixtures). All Star is now my regular cleaning service!

I am very satisfied with them. With any cleaning group you have to be flexible with what time they come. The crew may vary with a new person once in a while but they are always good. They never have a problem with extras that I ask them to take care of and they are very thorough.

Marlin and his team did a beautiful job! They showed up when they said they would and brought all their own supplies. The floors were clean, all the surfaces were dusted, the counters and all the appliances (including the top of the fridge) were wiped down. I left clean linens out for one bedroom and they did a beautiful job of making the bed and arranging all the pillows. The whole bathroom was scrubbed and smelled clean. All the garbage was taken out and they even washed up the plate and cup that were sitting in the sink. I called Marlin and arranged to have them come back and clean every two weeks. Although some teams are not as thorough as others, I am always happy with the results. I see some other folks have had difficulty getting messages returned. I have spoken to Marlin twice and other than some shaky cell reception, I have had no trouble reaching him. I would easily recommend this company to others.

I used them in the past also and thought they did just fine. This time I had to call several times to get scheduled. I also thought that this time they cleaned just enough to get by. They hurried in and out. It was not as detailed as before. It was a gift certificate cleaning so I did not pay.

What I like about All Star cleaning is that you can walk on the carpets almost immediately after he's finished cleaning them. He is always very accommodating every time I have used him.

Marlin, the owner, was very personable on the phone. I got lucky as there was an opening the very next day! The team made it on time even thought they knocked at my neighbor's house at first. They did a great job. I made adjustments to their normal routine; eliminated my messy office, but they went with it and did as I asked without charging extra. As dusty as my house was, I counted three missed spots and it wasn't a very big deal. I plan to have them back regularly.

Marlin was very prompt and professional. The carpets had some dog stains on it and it came up beautifully. Also, it was a dry process so my dog and me were able to walk on it immediately. It was also a non-toxic cleaner so it was safe for my dog. I was impressed that Marlin cleaned both the carpet AND the area rugs for his quoted price. He moved all the furniture, too. And I have to say the windows look beautiful; the whole house looks cleaner! He cleaned everything up after himself and placed every piece of furniture right back where he found it. Highly recommended.

Unlike other reports, the cleaning people were actually early. But also unlike other reports, I was less than satisfied with my service. I was disappointed with the amount of equipment they team showed up with. They didn't have their own broom, and their vacuum cleaner looked like it wasn't going to have enough strength to handle the job. They didn't have a step ladder either, which they were going to need if they were really going to wipe down high shelves and cabinets (which they didn't do). When I stopped to ask them if they could reach the high shelves, there was a communication barrier. When I went back through the residence after they were done, I was disappointed that a lot of surfaces weren't as clean as they could be. There were still cobwebs and thick dust in some areas. The inside of the windows weren't cleaned well. They left some of the blinds mangled. There are still some dead bugs in the window sills. Carpet cleaning seemed OK, though.

I spoke to Marlin, the week before Thanksgiving, hoping we might be able to squeeze our first appointment, in before the holiday. Before I knew it, we were scheduled for 2 days before. Perfect! Just as promised, the crew was done before I returned from work. My house looked great. I will be calling to arrange regular appointments.

Kitchen, bonus room, living room, baths, all left sparkling clean. Have seen them on their hands and knees doing the floor. Only problem was showing up a bit late, half an hour the first time (they were lost) and 15 min the next. Otherwise they have been great and the price is wonderful!
