For my situation, purchasing was the right thing to do since it was the only way to capture the tax credit and not get locked into a multi-decade lease coupled with overly restrictive and expensive terms and conditions associated with leasing.
American Solar had a competitive price, great service, and a simple, explicit contract; simply stated - a turnkey solution.
At every phase of the project, they were easy to deal with.
Installation was completed in one day. The city inspector signed off a few days latter. I had a PGE permit to operate within two weeks after the install was completed.
American Solar in Sausalito used all high end components coupled with excellent manufactures warranty.
I’d strongly recommend them to customers looking to purchase, and not lease, a solar solution.
