The services were great. I used them before and I really like them. They are prompt, efficient, and clean up after they leave. I’ve referred them several times to people.

The install of my new panel and all additional work went very smoothly.   I was very happy with the knowledge and professionalism of the electrician(s) and crew members.   They were punctual and offered suggestions on additional work I will want to have done in the future.  I would recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work and I will definitely be using them again.

They have come out for us 3 times. Each time was great work. I would use them again. I would highly recommend them. The price is great for the quality. When the city inspectors came out, they were very impressed with the electrical work. Steve, the owner is excellent and responds right away. They are very timely. For our electrical panel, I got bids from $5,000- $25,000. It was a huge range. Steve came out to look at it and he saved me a lot of money because he was very honest about what actually needed to be done. He really taught me a lot about what I needed to do and what I didn't need to bother with.

It was a great experience, and everything went well.  They did excellent work, they arrived right on time, and they knew exactly what to do from the beginning.  I'd definitely recommend them to others.

Flawless experience with Steve. Highly recommended.
Steve and his assistant came out about a week after I contacted him. Was a few minutes delayed by traffic, and let me know. He solved all my issues in less than an hour. My light fixture was missing a couple of decorative screws, so he provided some similar ones he had in the truck.
When I mentioned lights dimming when I turned on an appliance, he suggested I ask PG&E to measure the load on my exterior wiring.

He's the very first one we did because we needed to find an electrician and I didn't just want to hire anybody. They were prompt, they came out for a proposal, and told us what it would cost and then we scheduled it. We worked with the city for getting the inspection so they didn't have any problems with doing things with permit like some of them do. They got everything done in one day and we passed the inspection and it was great.

We have used Southwest two previous times. On the second job we pointed out to Mike, the crew leader, that the old fluorescent light in the kitchen was apparently failing.  He checked and said that it appeared that one of the tubes was burned out and affecting the other one.  We mentioned that we never had been happy with the fluorescent lighting in the kitchen and reliance on lamps in the adjoining family room.  Mike suggested and then described recessed can lighting with LED lights.  We were delighted with the idea and after getting a proposal from the Southwest owner, Steve Wilkens, approved the job.  Mike is remarkably proficient for one so young and the job went well.  We were pleased beyond our expectations.  The rooms don't get much sunlight and are typically dark.  The change was literally like night and day!  Even our floor looks better now.  One tip about communication - we hit a time when Steve, Mike, and others were sick and so had a hard time reaching Steve by phone.  Southwest has a website and Steve has an e-mail address.  I sent an e-mail message to Steve one night and he replied at 5:30 AM the next morning!

Steve showed up promptly on time, he knew exactly what was needed, did a very thorough inspection and gave me detailed information.   I have a fairly good background in electical requirements and his knowledge and professionalism were very apparent.  When we do the upgrade, he will be who we will want to do the work.

We are very pleased with the work Steve and his team have done.  All four workers were very nice, took pride in their work, and cleaned up after themselves.  The whole job looks professional and we couldn't be happier.
While the main reason for the project was to upgrade our service to 200 AMPs; some of the smaller jobs (power to the shed and moving light switch) are most useful.  
The whole job took 6 days: 
1 day for pre-work and small jobs
1 day for the shed and panel
4 days for stucco
   1 day was needed for the city of Campbell to inspect the way the house was wrapped/prepared for stucco
   2 days to apply/reapply the stucco (it was very hot on the first day and the stucco dried too quickly.)
   1 day was needed for the city of Campbell to inspect the final stucco
As a home owner, it is awesome that our city requires 3 inspections for a panel upgrade, but this increased the days needed to complete the work.  We will use SOUTHWEST ELECTRIC for future electrical needs.

The repair person showed up and took care of the problem in 15 minutes. When I saw Steve for the estimate, I mentioned concerns about my wiring, but he didn't seem to think it would be a problem. He quoted me the price of $175 and, when I asked, said it would probably take about an hour, possibly more. I agreed to that considering the time involved.
When it proved to be much less, I asked the repair person if it was $175 and he said yes. To me that is a lot for 15 minutes work.
 I blame myself for not getting more estimates.
I would  possibly use them again, but only for a larger project, and would get more estimates.

We contacted Southwest Electric again for the installation of a ceiling I bought since they have done an excellent jobs in past in my house.  Steve is such as nice guy who always tries to accommodate your need.  I told him I have taken a lot of time off during the remodeling of my house.  He understood and he eventually arranged a late afternoon appointment that I did not need to take much time off from work.  Thank you Steve.  For the job, I can definitely say they are professional and responsible.  M & M (Matt and Mike) came to my house at appointed time and they were doing the job immediately.  Their work were tidy and clean in the process.  Because of the complication of the wiring, Mike worked until 7:00 p.m. and he kept trying his best to finish the job.  Unfortunately, we finally found out the fan was defected. Mike suggested me to replace the fan first and he would come again to finish the installation as soon as he was available.  He then cleaned up everything and even packed the defected fan into the box for me.  The new fan came on Monday and I contacted Steve again.  Mike could come again the following day and installed the fan yesterday.  The fan is working and everything is good.  I love my new fan and I love to work with these guys as they are professional, responsible, and friendly.  I will definitely hire them again and will recommend to my friends.
