REMODEL WEST

The experience was fabulous overall. Their bid was the highest, but I was comfortable with that because of their quality and how they do the job. They were very neat and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving for the day. They kept within their time lines and their design people were just wonderful to work with. They did an excellent job!

Great people to work with. Remodel West has a design and construction company. We used both. Although I had spent a lot of time thinking about my kitchen, they came up with ideas that were innovative and unique to our home. We spent a lot of time planning so when the construction started things went smoothly and they stayed on schedule. Even when the wrong tile was delivered and had to be reordered, they still finished on time. Everyone connected with Remodel West was professional and friendly. Jim, the project manager and master carpenter, did wonderful work. There was always clear and open communication and when we had questions they were very responsive. The team dealt with everything, demo, subcontractors, ordering materials, deliveries, installations , inspections, clean up, etc. and we had no headaches. We are very happy with the new space and will use Remodel West again.

Their attentiveness was great. There is no builder that is perfect so if we found something that was wrong they came in a fixed them with no problem. They spend 3 months planning everything. They don't start the project until you pick everything out. The only thing that slowed them down was that we had to reorder windows because we didn't like the original ones we ordered. They aren't the cheapest but they had all the people we needed together.

Remodel West did a great job from start to finish. We wanted to go with a full service company from design through build. We interviewed quite a few companies and got some crazy estimates but Remodel West was practical and realistic right from the start. The design group worked with us for about six months on the floor plan and the materials to put in the space. They went with us to the tile/stone yards and very patiently helped us make the right choices. This was especially challenging as my wife and I have slightly different tastes but we came up with a design and style that we both just love. Our designer was just terrific. She really knows her stuff. The engineering phase presented some challenges for the Remodel West team as we had a poorly designed original structure. Remodel West really cleaned things up for us and allowed us to make the space more open and a better traffic flow. The best thing is the added space does not look like an addition. It is really the way the house should have been built. Since the new architecture was fairly extensive, we were concerned the cost would overwhelm our budget but Remodel West really worked the details and got us a plan that was well engineered and cost effective. The build phase has been terrific, a little over six months and a week or two over schedule. Mostly due to our indecision and changing our minds. The great thing was, people showed up every day and got their job done neatly and efficiently. What a relief as we were living in the other half of the house. But we never felt inconvenienced or disrespected. The guys and gals were polite, always told us what was going on and allowed us to watch and ask questions along the way. And the quality has been awesome, from framing to finish work. A thing of beauty. You really appreciate the new standards compared to 40 years ago. We recommend Remodel West simply because they did what they said they were going to do, and added a little extra. What a pleasant group of people to work with. Bill, the owner, sets the tone. Very customer oriented, responsive and totally focused on the quality of the product. This year long experience has been very rewarding for us. We figured out what we wanted and found a great company, Remodel West, to execute the plan. Believe it or not, we are looking forward to our next remodel project, the master bath and bedroom, and we are going to us Remodel West.

I found that they do not do professional work, because I had to call the manufacturers to get things done, and I did not have a good experience with this company. The kitchen looks beautiful, but it was difficult to address the problems with them. It was difficult getting them to fix problems and come back out when I found things that were not done properly.

NEVER HIRED THEM TO DO OUR HOME REMODELING JOB! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, TOOK DAYS TO RETURN PHONE CALLS, AND DIDN'T CARRY ON THE PROMISE TO CONTACT PREVIOUS JOBS FOR REFERENCES. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK TO SET AN APPOINTMENT AND 4 MONTHS LATER I AM STILL WAITING FOR A CALL THAT NEVER CAME. I WOULD DEFINITELY STEER CLEAR OF THEM!
