Amanda Chien

Amanda (real name Hsiao Lan) Chien sells and leases/rents properties.  In November 2010, I leased a property from her.  Even though the property was dirty when I moved in, she charged me a $150 cleaning fee as part of the deposit (it took me 12 hours to clean it when I moved in).  I paid the rent early every month, depositing cash at her bank so she would not need to wait for a check to clear.  Several things were broken at the property that I took the time to get repaired; I charged her nothing but the raw cost of the items.  When she told me she wanted to sell the property (she owned it), I took time off of work to meet with prospective buyers and agents (some never even showed up).  I did all of this as a courtesy to her.  When I was ready to move out (I purchased a home), I gave her 2 months notice.  According to NV Statutes, she was to return the deposit within 30 days.  She returned less than what I was owed and did not provide receipts (required by law) and it came 2 weeks late.  This woman is not to be trusted.
