W Squared Termite & Pest Management

I picked through all of the reviews in Angie's List, Yelp, and everywhere else before sttling on this small company in Santee.  My main reason for choosing them is that Jake Wheeler and his company, W Squared, is reviewed consistently as very honest, straight-forward, and will generally provide all the details and background information you might want - he answers all the questions that customers might have and does not BS them.  He charged $125 for the inspection of my house (as most termite companies are now charging versus continuing with the free inspections as most used to do) but I believe Jake might still provide free inspections for his local Santee customers.  I called him because it had been a few years since the inspection and tenting done before we bought the house, and recently we had noticed subterranean termites swarming out of our backyard on warm days.  Jake and his partner did a thorough inspection of the attic, the eaves, the foundation, and everything else accessible.  Luckily, no evidence was found inside my home, but we did find some activity in my unattached deck, patio cover, and in some dead trees in the yard.  Jake gave me what needed - a good inspection, lots of advice on changes to make in order to keep the termites out, and info on how they breed, feed, and migrate - but he didn't try to sell me work that I didn't need - I really appreicated that.  You'll find many similar reviews for W Squared on other sites.  I'll definitely use them when needed again in the future.
