It was excellent! Billy came right at the appointed time, we discussed what we wanted, and agreed on a style and color for the doors. He took measurements, and sent us a bid by e-mail that afternoon. The doors were ready within a week, and the installation took most of a morning. Everything went as expected, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Billy is just great to work with -- professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.
We previously had used Billy to replace the garage door openers at another house, and were similarly very pleased with the work he did.

After dealing with Costco and Hammer Networks quite a bit on the phone, Prestigious Door and Gate did a great job on the installation. It was a little challenging working with them because they are located in Santee and we live in Vista. They scheduled the measurement for 10:00AM and were an hour late with no call. My wife had to call them to find out where they were. When we made the appointment for the installation, we were told 8:00am to 10:00am. At 9:45am, my wife called and was told the installer was just leaving the shop. He did not arrive until 10:30am. Also, when he was just about done, he told my wife that he did not have the panels for the windows. They would mail them to us and we could put them in. My wife refused this and asked him to return with the panels. We paid for them to be installed and that is what should be done. Overall though, they worked very clean and did an excellent job. The door looks great and the opener is almost silent.

Our experience was the worst of the worst. Our "new top of the line" Amarr Weatherguard garage door with "Superior Triple Layer Construction" was installed on July 5, 2005. The door completely failed and crumpled at the end of August 2005. Mr. Brian Gildark, the owner, refused to fix the door and wanted to charge us another $1160 for the repair of the defective door on 9-1-05. Not only did the garage door fail, the installer set the track up so it blocked our garage cabinets which could not be opened. We spent almost a year dealing with Gildark's bonding company, and our claim was just recently denied. We have now had to spend over $1000 on an expert witness so we can take Mr. Brian Gildark and his companies / Surety to Court in order to get our money back for his failure to deliver a functional garage door. Unfortunately, we will not be able to get back our time spent on this incredible inconvenience.

We purchased the garage door through Costco and were initially impressed. They called right away to set things up and get things moving. They were a bit late when they came out and measured the door and inspected the opening, but no big deal. Problems presented themselves when they originally scheduled the installation on a day they were closed but didn't notify us until less than a week before. They rescheduled for another time and then tried to reschedule the night before for yet another day. All this with no apologies. When asked for one, they finally apologized and sent someone out to install as agreed the second time. The technician was great and did a great job, he was very apologetic and did the best he could to make up for the problems.

THEIR PRODUCT WAS CHEAPER THAN COMPETING COMPANIES. THE INSTALLATION WAS EXPERTLY INSTALLED, EVEN WITH ADDITIONAL MATERIALS THAT WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY DISCUSSED. CREW MEMBERS WERE VERY KIND AND LEFT THE WORKSITE CLEAN.
