I have a miniature golden-doodle, she has no fear going in whereas she had a lot of fear going into other places. The holding pins are larger then many others, she can move. They always do a nice job on her cut and do what is asked. Being a girl they put pretty bows in her ears. I enjoy the treatment and care they take with my girl. The staff is always nice and pleasant, easy to work with.

This business groomed my one-year old labradoodle in July 2013. My puppy seemed okay but a little sensitive when I got her home that Saturday. I am writing this almost nine months later because I am still in disbelief over what happened to my dog. One day later my dog started to exhibit red weepy eyes and and showing pain. I rushed her to the veterinarian who could not figure out what was wrong with her at first. He performed blood tests and other medications. Two days later I called him back as she could not open her eyes at all and they were horribly red. He told me to rush her to the Canine Ophthamologist. I did and he diagnosed her with burned corneas from the groomers drying apparatus. Apparently there are multiple people involved in the grooming process at this business. The person who shampooed my dog did not wash all of the soap out of my dog's eyes then placed her in one of these drying cages. I took her back to the vet a week and half later and thank goodness she was on the mend. I called the groomer's business and left her an emotional message of how my beloved dog was injured. She did call back with her sympathies and I told her I would call her when I was back in town a week later. I visited the business upon my return and instead of a caring person, she stonewalled and patronized me while she kept on grooming another dog. I have to say she did not hesitate to pay the vet bills when I sent her the invoice. Please don't let a groomer use these dryer cages on your pets. I am still worried that my dog who is almost 2 now may have eye isses in the future.

My dog, Onyx is usually well behaved and very calm and friendly, however when I
try to cut his nails he acts like a crazed maniac on bath salts. I have
no idea what they put in the water at Essential Grooming but Onyx calms right down and
lets them trim his nails without much fuss at all. Onyx gets his nails cut, a
nice bath, and I can avoid dealing with beast for 30 minutes. The best part is
that they accept walk ins! I am in and out with my dog looking like a million
bucks! Thanks again Essential Grooming you guys rock!

I've been using the services at Essential Grooming every 6 weeks for the past 5 years.. Laurie Jennings is the only groomer I'll have for my 51/2 yr. old Shih Tzu, Ruby. Her staff is caring and professional, and the salon is bright, cheerful, and clean.

I arrived at 8AM and dropped Clyde off with a large Siberian Husky in front of me and a Cocker Spaniel behind me. With great patience the groomer took each animal to their designated areas and assured us she would be calling before 12. I received the call at 10:30 to come pick Clyde up. I arrived, paid for the services and out came the cutest bear faced Clyde, prancing like a very proud boy! He was so proud, so handsome and happy! The experience continues! Clyde and I are VERY pleased customers!

I was absolutely blown away from the first phone call made to make the appointment to picking them up and putting them in my car to bring them home. Laurie Jensen (owner) has the best grooming shop I have found in over 40 years of owning animals and having them groomed. Her employees are friendly, cooperative and are attentive to what needs you and your animals have! I was greeted with a smile when I arrived with my dogs and asked many questions on what I would like done! Wow! Employees that listen AND have a warm welcome for their customers and especially their beloved pets! I left my dogs in VERY capable hands!

When I was called to pick my pets up, it was with a smile and happy attitude! My Corgi has never looked better, her coat shone and glistened, her nails were cut perfectly and she was a happy girl! My Chi-Chi was just as cute as could be! He had his little bear face as asked to be done, he was fluffy and perfectly groomed! He was NOT trembling or unhappy, just the opposite! His skin was in beautiful condition and is scheduled for a once a month grooming to keep up his gentlemanly appearance. There were no bows or scarfs or added and quot;cutesy stuffand quot; because neither one needed anything else! They were both very proud to walk out of the groomers, heads held high and prancing as though they both knew they were and quot;the cat's meowand quot; (pardon the tongue in cheek, LOL).
