I called and talked with Andy on the phone for about 10 minutes, felt comfortable and went ahead and made an appointment a week in advance for my VW Cabrio diagonosis. The car was making noise on the front left wheel and wanted it checked and aligned. The morning of the appointment I arrived on time and was greeted by Anna and Andy with friendly and courteous smiles. They received my keys and immediately went to work.
After about fifteen minutes Anna came back and said they identified the issue as the spud nut had reversed itself and that the hub assembly and bearings were damaged beyond repair and should DEFINATELY not be driven any further. Anna said the only parts they suggested were available to within 24 hours by10am the next day. I was given a revised estimate for repair, agreed then left.
Next day about 9am I received a call from Anna saying the car was repaired and ready for PU. I went down and saw the damaged parts which were REALLY damaged,
As I left the garage, I mused at the through business like the folks behind the desk, Anna, Andy and of course Moses the Mechanic It was a bit unnerving to realize the wheel could have come off while I was rolling or worse on the freeway. I realized they had my best interest at hand telling me I should not drive the car unless repaired.
I still believe in the "word of mouth" being the best review of all, but with social media I am cautious just reading reviews. Go down to the office meet or spend some time on the phone and talk with the folks at East County Alignment first hand and THEN make your decision. For me, I am very grateful I did and that I highly recommend.
