The entire process from picking out the carpet to the actual install went smoothly. The sales guy seemed honest and informative. They had a big selection of carpeting to choose from and the installed carpet looks great.

They came out to our house, looked at what we had and made some suggestions at no cost to us. We decided to go with tile and they installed the tile we purchased from them in the kitchen as well as installed some tile we have purchased elsewhere in a bathroom and in the laundry room. The tile had to go against carpet in one room and hardwood floor in another. The job was completed timely and, in my opinion, extremely well.

The job was paid for by the insurance company. They were very prompt and very friendly. They did all that we wanted to do. They dealt directly with the insurance company. They were able to give us more than the insurance company would have authorized because we didn't use all that the insurance company would authorize. I would recommend them to other members.

We just bought our first home, and all the different carpet choices were a little overwhelming. When we went to Coles, their sales rep took the time to talk to us about our individual needs, such as pets, price, and maintenance. Quality was important to us, but price was also an issue. She helped us pick out exactly what we needed, and allowed us to put down a deposit to lock in the "Holiday price" Their measurement guy showed up on time, and was in and out pretty quick. On the day of installation, their installation team showed up on time, asked questions to ensure we where happy with where how the installation was going, even advised us if we were planning on replacing our molding (which we were, since we painted over it) that it would be easier for us if they removed it now, vice trying to pull it up after the carpet was installed. Their team did an excellent job, were very professional, and we love our new carpet. We would defiantly use them again if needed. The price was a little high, but I am also a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and the quality of the carpet, service, and installation, made it worth every penny.

The sales person in the store was very helpful, listening to my needs and narrowing down the choices to a manageable 5 or 6. I took samples home and called the store with my choice. The estimator came out the next morning and I had an estimate 3 days later. We put a hold on the carpet in the warehouse until we returned from a trip. The installer called twice to verify day and time, arrived promptly, was extremely organized and skillful. Later in the morning his 2 helpers arrived to assist with the heavy work. They were finished by 4pm, as promised, everything was clean, the heavy furniture was moved back to its proper places and the installer walked through the rooms with us for our approval. The work couldn't have been more skillful and the demeanor of the installers more polite and professional. I also enjoyed their good humor.

Original installation (installer's name is Oscar) was fabulous, but moisture barrier was not applied to concrete prior to installation. Second installation was very shoddy and took six weeks rather than the promised two weeks. When floor failed, Coles was slow to respond and went back on promises they made to us. Coles refused to accept reports of two experts, one of which was hired by the floor distributor. Steve Coles made a verbal offer, then delayed cutting the check while he tried to find another company to take responsibility for the problems. When that didn't work, he reneged on his original offer and made a lower (by about $3000) offer. He refused to meet with us personally to discuss any of this. Andrea, the customer service representative, was often rude and unresponsive. We have finally received a refund of our original purchase price. It will cost us several thousand dollars more than this to replace the floor, not to mention time off work, paid experts, etc.

COLES CARPET WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. THEY DID A GREAT JOB INSTALLING OUR CARPET AND CUT IT SO THERE WAS LEFT OVERS FOR THROW RUGS BY THE ENTRY WAY SO THAT WE COULD HAVE MATCHING CARPET FOR THROW RUGS.
