It took them five times longer than they said. Some of their workmanship is not the greatest. It was all right. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. I think they used a lot of day laborers, because a lot of them didn't look like professionals and didn't work like professionals. I had to get some things redone to accommodate what was actually done. It took them a year and a half to do something they were supposed to do in nine weeks. They had all kinds of excuses for it. It was a large project. They did not follow the architect's plan. The architect took it to city hall and got it approved. Absolute Construction did the foundation and the city came out and said it was not adequate. They didn't meet the requirements, but that was only a one day delay. When the framers started to do the second floor, they forget to reconnect the existing ceiling jousts. The ceiling started to sag. They did come out and correct it but that put them behind. The electrician didn't understand how to connect to the old service, but he wasn't supposed to, he was supposed to start new service. They put the air conditioning unit in the old part of the house. It was supposed to be in the new part. They didn't follow the blueprints. They either didn't care or didn't know how. That's the kind of stuff that happened. For example, the blueprint called for a sliding glass door in a location, but they decided they were putting a window there instead. They finally put in the glass sliding door. They had trouble understanding how to do the stucco as the plans called for. They put a lot of things in places where it was convenient and not where it was in the blueprints. They were just not skilled. We got what we wanted it the end. They did finish the job and got it done. They did the best they knew how.
Description of Work: They remodeled my house. The back half was tore off and made a second floor.

THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND OFFERED TO DO THE WORK AT A COMPETITIVE PRICE. THEY SEEMED TRUSTWORTHY. THE WORK STARTED AN WENT QUICKLY AT FIRST. THEN THE COMPANY GOT BUSY WITH OTHER WORK, AND NEVER FINISHED ALL THE PROMISED WORK AT OUR SITE. THE CONSTRUCTION WORKMANSHIP WAS POOR, MANY DEFECTS IN ELECTRICAL WORK, THE SPRINKLERS DON'T WORK, AND THE DRAINS ARE POORLY PLACED. MOST OF THE LANDSCAPE DIED, AND THE CONTRACTOR REFUSES TO COME BACK TO DO NEEDED REPAIRS. RARELY SHOWS UP WHEN SCHEDULED, NO ADHERENCE TO WORK SCHEDULE. WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN PATIENT.
Description of Work: WE HIRED THE COMPANY TO BUILD OUT AN ADDITION ON OUR HOME, AND LANDSCAPE OUR BACK YARD. IT WAS AN 800 SQUARE FOOT ADDITION AND REMODEL OF ADDITIONAL EXISTING SPACE. WE ALSO NEEDED TERRACES, DRAINS, AND SPRINKLERS PLACED IN OUR BACK YARD TO HELP WITH DRAINAGE OF RAINWATER.
