I called the company to come out and check a leak. The owner said they were a small company so it would be $350 up front for them to come out and if they are out longer than 4 hours it would be more. That was fine for me and I appreciated that they came out that same day. Two men came out and I showed them where the leak was and they went up on the roof and were up there for several hours. I had to leave to go to a doctors appointment so they showed the pictures they took to my wife and she paid them. They never went in the attic to look to see if there were damages and make sure the job they did was in the right spot. I called the owner that night to tell him I was concerned because they didn't go into the attic to make sure the job was done completely. The owner said they didn't need to do that and normally don't and that if I had more problems in the future they would come back. He was very rude about it. I don't want to wait to find out there is still a problem and have to have major repairs. He asked why I didn't ask them to go into the attic, but I didn't think I would have to ask professionals to do their job. I just want to know that the job was done completely and the owner is not willing to send someone back out because he said he can't afford it because they are a small company. The contractor that came out was very nice but the owner was very rude. When I called and we talked when he was getting off the phone I heard him complaining and saying negative things about me. I heard him saying "Jesus Christ what a pain". I didn't feel like I was treated professionally at all and I am not satisfied with my job.

When he arrived he asked for his money immediately which I did not care for. When I told him I would prefer to pay him after the work was done he told me that if I did not pay him right away he would leave. I really did not like being treated this way by a contractor but I was stuck because I needed this project done.

The workers were very professional, quiet and efficient. They left the area very clean. They work was completed very promptly. I would recommend them to a friend.

We bought an old country house a few years ago and had a small portion of the roof replaced due to leaks. One of the leaks was back so we talked to several roofers to understand what needed to be done and the cost. We picked Stephen Curley since he seemed the most knowledgable and the cost was fair. It was reassuring to see his good reviews here and to know he had quite a few customers ahead of his. He just completed our roof a day ahead of the big rain storm and it helped up under strong winds and 7" of rain. It looks great and was well done. He even added some roof vents. We are very happy with our new roof! He did a great job protecting our plants around the house and cleaning up every bit of debris.

As I sit here listening to the heavy rain of the Bay Area's worst storm in six years, I am reminded how wise I was to do all the research on roofers and select Stephen Curley Roofing to replace our roof last month.  We had confidence in the company from the beginning and they never let us down.  We knew they cared about their customers and about doing thorough, professional work.  I have no doubt that they would be out here right away if I ever were to have a problem with our roof.  We are completely satisfied with their work and will recommend them to our neighbors and friends.  Curley was not the lowest bidder but it was money well spent. 

This was the most amazing roofing crew I have ever used!!! Stephen keeps you informed as you near the actual roofing date. I have seven houses on my ranch and I had 4 houses that needed attention. One needed a new roof, the back side of another house needed to be roofed and he replaced some attic vents and dealt with a squeaky wood stove pipe on another. Steve also had to rebuild a porch on one house and roof it and he charged me for time and materials. His crew did an amazing job, they cleaned up at the end of the first day and when they completed everything the second day. I thought it would probably take a week or more to do all the things he was going to do. However, he does not spread out his crew--they come in and complete it before going on to another job. One of my tenants works from home so she was thrilled with the job. Steve took care of several things that I was not aware of such as adding attic vents to one of the houses that did not have any AND he noticed one of my gutters on a rental was sagging and strapped it up at no charge!! IN THIS DAY AND AGE --WHO DOES THAT?!! I was extremely impressed with the quality of work performed, materials used, price and service provided. I will be a loyal customer!! Great job.  Things went better than we ever expected.  Great advanced communication regarding each step of the process. Went the extra mile and provided workmanship, service and materials that were even better than promised in the contract.  At the end of each day the cleanup was immaculate and at the end of the project the areas around the house looked better than when they started the roofing.
We would recommend Steve to anyone.

Steve was very professional and courteous.  Excellent and prompt communication by both phone and email.  Steve repaired some dry rot and roofed a small window overhang at no extra charge.  Steve was very easy to work with, even though I live outside the area where the work was performed.  I never actually met him until after the job was complete.  I would definitely hire him again.

Steve was prompt and very professional. His work ethic is above reproach and the job site was left very clean. He suggested additional repairs that made for a better finished product. Start to finish was a little over 3 days.

Great communication from stephen.  We arranged for all work to be completed over the phone, as I lived out of the state at the time.  Stephen gave detailed estimate and completed all work on budget.  He knew I had a tight schedule, and he rearranged his work schedule to complete my roof by date needed.  He gave updates as project progressed.  When I arrived at my new home , all work was complete and looked great.  I would use Stephen's services again.

Steve communicated well and preformed as promised.

Called for a quote. He came out, inspected, provided a detailed bid with price breakdown on the repairs, roof, gutters. He had a last-minute cancellation, so was able to give us a good deal for short-notice work. He was done in less than 3 days, and everything was buttoned up and clean at the end.
