I've reported this to the company and they told me they're working on the "problem." I asked for money back for all the days service has not been working, and the technician said the manager would give a refund once the problem is completely resolved. I asked when that would be, to no response. The problem continues.

Sonic resells AT&T U-Verse services at a fraction of the price.   The installer was from AT&T.  They were very professional.
Working with Sonic requires some patience, because they are swamped with business.  Persistence and patience pays off in the end.

They were on time and made sure that the job was done right. Very pleasant.

Service was excellent. The technician (Kyle) went above and beyond to make sure the install was done properly and the new service was working before he left.
He first verified new lines were installed properly by ATand T. They were not so he contacted ATand T and worked with the ATand T tech to get everything working. He then crawled under my house to verify the condition of my existing phone wiring when he suspected an issue.

Excellent service. No extra charge for "high bandwidth" - my previous provider (ATT) suddenly started charging us because we watch video on Netflix.

I had a problem while setting up and called for help. Within five minutes I was good to go. What a change from my previous provider, ATand T, who cost me twice as much for far poorer service.

The internet is pretty fast. We have call ID and call waiting. We will most definitely continue to use them.

Initially, I was skeptical because Sonic did not respond to me in the time they said they would on their website. I heard nothing, but then ATand T showed up to check on the phone line into our new home to make sure it was active. They said Sonic ordered this- but still I had heard nothing from them. When I called customer service, they seemed surprised that I hadn't been contacted. When a representative called back, they said it would be another 2 weeks until someone could hook me up!
Since I have had Sonic; however, I have been extremely pleased. We have very fast internet, can stream live with not interruption- plus I have a landline with many features at no extra cost. I love their service now. It was just getting them set up that was a difficult.

The installers come with all of the needed equipment. They are truly knowledgable and very professional. The service when you call them is also phenomenal.

I have been so happy with Sonic's service! They are incredibly responsive, with a tech-support person just a phone call away if there are problems or if I need help setting up. I like that they are a local northern California service (though growing--judiciously--all the time). I researched Sonic thoroughly before I signed up with them. They have very high satisfaction ratings, and their customer support gets some of the highest rankings in the country on Broadband Reports.
I am especially pleased with the Fusion bundle. All domestic long-distance calls are free! And you know all those little and quot;extrasand quot; that ATand T likes to charge monthly fees for? Things like Caller ID, Call Waiting, conference calling, call forwarding, etc.? Those are all included in the basic monthly charge. Voice mail is also provided; my favorite feature is that my voice-mail messages are forwarded to me by email! I can listen to messages right from my email, wherever I happen to be.
The DSL connection is fairly fast, considering how far I am from the nearest telephone central office (the physical length of the wires determines the speed of any DSL connection). Once in a while, the connection drops, but I attribute that to the poor wiring in my house, because usually just resetting the wireless modem has me up and running again. If it's something more than that, Sonic's tech support can unravel even the snarliest tangle, and get the connection going. If repairs to the outside lines are needed, they work with the ATand T techs to get it done.
I bought a wireless modem (from Sonic) twice--once when I started with them in 2007, and once when I upgraded to the Fusion account a few months ago. They have recently begun renting modems to all new customers, so that the support people have better info about connections, and so that they can remotely upgrade the modem software (and firmware?).
Sonic does offer technician installation for $75, but I just went with the DIY setup. It was very easy!
I recommend Sonic.net to anyone looking to get away from the mass corporate approach of national broadband providers. If you want incredible support, transparency, communication, and technical expertise, Sonic's for you.

When I got their Fusion service, they had ATand T connect a new phone line. From the start, the line would go up and down several times per hour. Sometimes the outage would be for a minute, other times it would be for several hours. No matter how many times I asked them to send ATand T out to check the line, they came up with an endless list of reasons for the problems and kept telling me that ATand T wouldn't find anything.

It got so bad that I had to use the wireless hotspot on my cell phone if I wanted to do anything online.

They have reliable service and if I have a problem I get immediate attention. Their people are knowledgeable and reliable. They have been very helpful over the phone and I would highly recommend them.

Kim at sonic.net support was polite, very knowledgeable and matter-of-fact. The plans that sonic.net offered me were the cheapest I could find and yet measured dsl speeds matched or bettered service I was getting from another for twice sonic.net's price. I had to call support once to configure my personal router and they told me what to do in about 3 minutes. Overall my experience with them has been outstanding.
