He started on March 1.

He poured our foundation crooked and blamed it on the cement truck.  He said the truck hit it, which would have pushed it away from the truck, but it was actually crooked toward the truck.  My brother in law is a retired contractor and showed him how to fix it.

He soon said he needed more money for the truck, apparently he had used some of our down payment for his house payment.

The cement truck damaged the driveway.  When he tore out the porch, he tore out part of the driveway and the entire walkway.  They now need to be patched and remade, which cost more.  He continued on and poured a new front porch for us.  It sloped, so we needed to buy flagstones to correct it.

At one point he called us about how we wanted to design ceiling.  When we checked, we saw that he had built the wall upside-down.

We flooded up to 3 feet standing water in our living room several times.  The problem was that the seal was improperly installed.  This caused our tiles to become discolored.  This eventually ended with our interior ceiling sheet rock crashing down.  All he asked when we called was if we wanted help cleaning up.

At another time, when we returned, we saw that someone had cut the structural beam the wrong way, so we needed to pay an engineer to find a way to support the weight without putting a post in the middle of the living room

Another time, they dropped something on the pallet stove and never told us, we had to find out for ourselves when we got home.

When he got the new sheet rock, they stored the rock in the living rooms and starting to cut them there, making everything filthy.  The contractors themselves later suggested that we get paper and visqueen to cover up our things and our tile.

The next day we came home, we saw that some workers had been putting poop-covered toilet paper mounded dup in our trash can.  This kept happening until we put up a sign in spanish to flush the toilet paper.

When they left, the house was an unbelievable mess.  He left us without hiring an interior painter since he was off to work on a friend's house.  We had to paint inside ourselves.

We finally got him to come back to instal the doors and put in the baseboards, in the end, however, he did not caulk or paint them.  He never completed the permanent staircase, the hardwood floor, or the carpet.  He never had a cleaning crew take care of the mess, so I had to do all of the construction cleaning by myself.

In the end he gave us a letter with a lot of lies, saying things like he thought we were just being nice in doing all this work .  He kept lying when he made a mistake and would always try to cover himself.

When he came to close the project he asked for a draw for the painter, trim, lumber and garage door.  When the garage door came, he asked for more money because he said he was out of money.  It ends up that he had kept lying about what he was paying for.

We finally closed the account on the suggestion of the lumber company, Mead Clark.

He was not here for the final inspection.  The permit man asked where our contractor was, so my husband said he had abandoned the job long ago.
