My wife's used Mini stalled/died frequently. We took the car to North Bay Bavarian (mainly a BMW shop) to diagnose because this shop was so much closer than the nearest Mini dealership. They quickly (1 hour or so) isolated the problem to a high pressure fuel pump. They could easily have told us it was an $800 or so repair (which it was) and we would have gladly had them do the work. But instead they went beyond the obvious and investigated the warranty situation on this car with a Mini dealership in Corte Madera. They determined it could be repaired under warranty at the Mini dealership. This was a class act - extremely honest and above-board of them, not to mention that it saved us $800. By the way, the Mini dealer kept our car for several days, at extreme inconvenience to us, claiming they couldn't find or reproduce the problem, only in the end to confirm the original diagnosis of North Bay Bavarian. We'll definitely take our car back to North Bay Bavarian for future service.

They do a good job and they are very thorough. They are a little pricey. We have taken our cars there a lot. We have spent everything from $350 to $4,000.
