I hired Jason and his team of conscientious and hard-working guys at Need a Hand Movers twice in the past 6 weeks. I was very impressed with their work ethic and the care they took moving our things to our new home. On both occasions there were different guys and each person was careful and communicative. I highly recommend this honest, friendly, and reasonably priced company. L. Frey

Excellent would definitely hire again. Owner was responsive and quick to answer emails and questions. Crew arrived early and was well prepared. They were quick and efficient. They packed and wrapped the furniture so as to prevent any scratches or damage. They finished well under the estimated time. I would without a doubt definitely recommend using them.

Should be negative stars! Never Use this Company- I made the mistake of hiring these guys to pack and load my shipping truck from across country move. When I opened my container I was shocked and appalled, as were the people I had hired to unload and the horrible mess in front of our eyes. Box tumbled down, broken and scratched items everywhere- it was horrifying. The guys who loaded my belonging did not secure my belongings in any way that was even beginning to be reasonable providing only one tie down at below hip level. At least five times throughout the day I asked if there was any other supplies that were needed or anything else that had to be purchased in order to make sure my things got there in a safe manner. I was continually told no. Blankets I provided were not used to protect pieces of my furniture leading to their scratching. When I contacted the owner Jason with my photos and story he told me his guys didn't have the stuff they needed- ignoring the constant asks I made if they did and what I should go get if they were short. Plus they left plenty of blankets in my apartment saying they were fine and then he had the gall to tell me it was my fault for not providing enough blankets.... Additionally heavy boxes with dishes and other breakable items were placed on top and left go flying throughout the leftover space resulting in broken dishes, glasses and serve wear and boxes that popped open ruining photographs and CDs and DVDs that can no longer be replaced. They loaded so many heavy boxes onto of my wood and steel entertainment unit it sheared the steel wheels off of it. Bending one completely intern ad the other broken off. Prior to them loading I had explained that they could use as much space as needed if it was required to go beyond the 13 ft to protect my things and get them there in good condition, that I had no problem with it. They assured me that that wasn't necessary, clearly it was. Everything in the truck was secured behind two wooden partitions that were locked and had no way of being opened by the shipping company. Any damage that was done was done because it was loaded improperly and not secured or not taken care of when it was loaded. In order for the kind of damage that was done to my things to have been the fault of the shipping company the truck would have had to flip upside down. I understand that moving results usually in one or two small broken items, a few glass items here or there, or heck even a lamp or a mirror I could have understood. But the fact that my things were tumbled down in a pile, that it resulted in major damage to large pieces of my furniture not even including the fact that they placed a plant on my leather couch, that I've been lucky to try andsalvage that leather, their loading was unprofessional and negligent. I was very patient first waiting for Jason the owner to get back for a week when I was told by his mother he was not available since he was at a conference. I was told he would call me the following Monday. I waited until today, Wednesday, and after redefining no call I reached out again, even though he didn't bother to get back to me knowing that I had called and spoken with others and what the situation was. Upon speaking to Jason finally he told me that it was not his fault or his loaders and must be the shipping company. He refused to take any responsibility and said his guys did a good job and that I was lying and had not given them the right materials. Again ignoring the fact that over the course of hours I continually asked the "experts" what was needed and they kept saying nothing. This is going to cost me thousands of dollars and I said I wanted a full refund given the horrible service I received being generous considering that won't begin to cover the costs of replacing everything that was damaged. The only reason I have withheld making it public until now was because I wanted to give the company a chance to do the right thing and I didn't want to damage future business if this just happened to be one off mistake. Jason's reluctance to take responsibility on our phone call and subsequent emails has made it clear that he has no intent of doing the right the thing or owning up to any mistakes by his people. If you don't care about your things and want a terrible experience then by all means hire these people. But if you want to reassured that your things will get there safely and that the "experts" will do a quality job use someone else. I am also posting pictures of the destruction for everyone to see how horrible it was.

I used Angies List to locate a hauling company that would take away large pieces of furniture; in this case a full-sized
couch. I called the number and got a very helpful gentleman who was able to answer all of my questions regarding their service. This information included the cost of the service and when they would have a time slot to perform the service. The gentlemen on the phone was very courteous and handled the callwith professionalism.
At the time for the couch to be removed they were late due to a minor scheduling miscommunication, but the situation was quickly remedied in a very professional manner after a phone call to the service provider.
The gentlemen removed the couch with ease and were in and out in less than 15 minutes.
They were very courteous and helpful.
I will be moving in the near future and would definitely consider using their services again

Jason of Hey Need A Hand moved my household from Sonoma to Healdsburg. It could not have gone any better! Jason was very professional. He provided excellent value, great communication and was punctual. The entire staff was hard-working and personable. Not a single thing was broken even the many clay planter pots. They also provided some hauling services which were also good value. They went above and beyond! Would definitely use them again!

Jason and Hey Need a Hand were highly recommended to me by another terrific mover (Land R Transport) in the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area. No greater praise than from a knowledgeable peer! Jason and his assistant were courteous and engaging, and were as respectful and gentle in handling my antiques and heirloom pieces as I'd hoped. I cannot praise Jason and Hey Need a Hand more highly than to say I'd trust him again without question to move my furniture and belongings.
