Home Building
Work was done without pulling permits (discovered after the fact). Sub-contractors were unlicensed and incompetent (all plumbing and electrical work had to be redone).
Aside from demo work, all work that had been done required remediation - often more than once. Contractor hired unskilled or unlicensed laborers and didn't provide proper guidance or supervision. Work was all substandard and sloppy. Remediation requests took an inordinate amount of time and usually were not done properly first or second or third time. 4-5 week job was drawn out to 12 weeks and charges for work done was 2-3 times what a more capable replacement contractor is charging.
Contractor was rude and abusive when questioned and in spite of all bills (begrudgingly) paid upon receipt, had the gall to slap a mechanics lien when kicked off job site. No detail on what the claim is for
Run don't walk away from this guy. He is dreadful, doesn't do quality work. Refuses to pull required permits. Hires unskilled and i suspect unlicensed subs ( have requested info on the subs with no response).
