I asked that my tiny stand alone shower be removed and in its place I wanted a large walk-in shower that was completely tiled with river rock on the floor and walls. They most certainly understood my vision and 100% fulfilled my expectations!! The end result looked even better than I was hoping! They are quality professionals

It was choppy. There were problems. The granite piece slipped a little overnight. They said that's never happened, and pulled me aside to attribute the problem to guys remodeling my bathroom. I was told they must have stood on it, or at least pushed it. These guys who work for me remodel homes from top to bottom and know very very well not to touch a drying piece of granite slab. I had to pick from another slab to replace the one that moved, which had to be broken into pieces and removed. DC Tile came back to replace the granite, but I had to pick from a different slab, same kind of stone. Not quite the same as what was already in place. When the second installation was three hours late, I was told it was because I had to personally choose the stone. Keep in mind that I made a trip to their stone yard at 8am to meet with the cutter, precisely to avoid any delays. Still it was my fault they were late. Go figure. Also, there were two small chips in my brand new tile that I thought were not there before they began their work. They, on the other hand, told me the chips were there when they first arrived, and that they took photos to back up their claim. I asked to see the photos several times, but no photos were ever shown! If they didn't blame every big and little mistake on me, the consumer, and even considered the possibility that they might have contributed to the problem, I wouldn't be writing this negatively By the way, when I was told that stone slippage has never happened to them, I went online and on the webpage of a granite installer it said clearly that this kind of slippage can be expected. It happens. I sent them the web info, but still they denied that they could have had anything to do with the problem, or that it was even possible to occur on its own. Not very professional, in my view. In the end though, the granite looks good, even if the colors are a little bit mismatched. Also by the way, they told me that bullnose edging was not an option. Really?

Response from DC Tile and Stone
"This homeowner tried to make a pass at me and I politely pretended it did not happen. Then I found out that her boyfriend was roughly my age. She is roughly 20 years older. I am married with a wonderful wife and two kids. I am sorry, but no job or review is worth losing that."

So far, they've done the shower. The guy is fabulous. He's newer to the company, but he has done everything right. He's very detail oriented. The price is just for labor and the setting materials. I purchased the tile myself.
