We chose Pam Miller, general contractor and owner of Alchemy Construction, to do our remodeling because of her ability to translate her knowledge and skill of remodeling for aging in place to us so that we could make informed choices. With Pam we felt confident that our needs were heard and would be met, that we would end up with a quality remodeling job, and that our home would be respected well throughout the process. This was definitely the case. Pam is a perfectionist in her own work and expects the same from all of her sub-contractors. She or her assistant were on site every day there was work being done to supervise and insure that work was completed at or above standards and that the work area was left tidy and secure. It was a work in progress, and we consulted frequently through the process to make adjustments as needed. When some incorrect decorative tile was purchased by a subcontractor, Pam was able to resolve the issue without delaying the project. When we had an issue with the toilet lid coming off about a month ago, Pam had her plumbing sub-contractor replace the whole toilet seat for us at no cost. Although the cost of the total project was more than we originally hoped to spend, the choices we made gave us a bathroom that will work for us as we age and that is much more esthetically pleasing and modern.
