A-1 ROOFING

Terry was recommended by a friend and responded quickly to our call regarding our leaking flat roof.  He removed the gravel, put in some additional drains to prevent ponding and applied the asphalt coating.  The roof preceded to leak like a sieve. He came out several times and kept pushing us to cover the asphalt immediately with the elastomeric coating for another $700. But we were beginning to be suspicious that the asphalt wasn't applied correctly. Fortunately the rest of the winter was quite dry. This summer we had 3 contractors up on the roof to look at Terry's work.  Each one said independently that Terry had not properly cleaned the roof before applying the asphalt coating. This caused the coating to crack and flake. If we had applied the final elastomeric coat it would have been lost money.  Everyone of them says the material must come off adding $1000 labor costs to any new roofing choice we make. Terry's contractor's license has since been suspended for failing to have Workers Comp. After approaching him about this failed work he proposed ripping it off and putting on a new roof for another 2900.  I think we are going to eat this mistake and move on to a more reputable company. Do not use this contractor
