Michael Valenzuela aka Trades West bid on new doors and windows for a construction job. Once he was given the deposit he was supposed to immediately place the orders with the manufacturers, but instead disappeared. When we finally got in touch with him after many weeks he told us our orders were in progress and gave us ETA's. When we requested written verification that our doors/windows had been ordered he disappeared again. It got to the point that we had to contact the manufacturers directly and ask for verification. This is when we realized that he (Michael Valenzuela / Trades West) had been lying all along and hadn't even placed the orders yet. This caused months of construction delays and much expense. We were forced to deal directly with the manufacturers and re-pay for items that had already been paid for. Later we found out that Michael Valenzuela / Trades West had issued bad check to the manufacturers as a deposit, eventhough we had already given him the deposit to forward to the manufacturer. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible!
