The lawn looked great, but after one month it got a fungus and started to die, about 30% of the lawn turned brown, called Brown Patch Disease. It's easy to Google. When I called Mike and told him my Lawn was brown he said for me to put glasses out and measure the watering levels. I did that, he said to wait and see. So another month and more brown. I asked him again to come out and look at sprinklers and grass and he refused, he told me to get the Sod Company to come out since it was fungus. I did, they said it was dry, not getting enough water. So they blamed Mike. I again asked Mike to come out, he refused, said that maintenance is the owners responsibility. I gave up on Mike as he clearly was not going to back up his work. After a year the sprinkler valve started to leak, I asked Mike to send me the Lowes receipt so I could get an exchange, no response. (yeah he buys all the stuff at retail) After two years my lawn is 30% dirt, and very bumpy, his team did not compact the dirt after he tilled it so it sank in areas. Very poor work and horrible guy to deal with Stay away. Look at other reviews and believe the bad ones.

Worst reno project since we bought this house - and there have been many projects! Buyer beware! After tilling, you will pay for someone to bring in manure (have since been advised this is very dangerous because...keep reading...). It appears, based on every other professional we've had come out since this disaster, the manure will bring NUT GRASS into your lawn. We had a decent lawn and after spending nearly $4000 with Roto Tiller Guy we now have an entire front lawn of NUT GRASS which is almost impossible to kill. When Mike did finally come out and look at the lawn his crew installed and all the nut grass permeating the grass that hadn't already died in a week's time, his response was that he was "not responsible for that and that now would be a good time for us to start getting rid of all that." Pacific Sod who Mike calls for you to purchase the grass will replace your dead grass but they can't do anything about the manure that will permeate your lawn. After this big expense we are left MUCH worse than when we started. A huge disappointment that we still have not been able to correct despite investing much time and money and consultations with true experts. You won't save money with RotoTIllerGuy - you will waste money and you will have begin again and invest much more money the 2nd time and you will probably never be able to rid yourself of the nut grass that will have been planted in your yard by RotoTillerGuy. In addition, much of the lawn is dying. Have been advised this is due to the fact that the sod was laid incorrectly, one on top of the other instead of like bricks as is correct. It was also laid with space in between which lets in air and dries out the grass. I could have done this so much better myself and really wish I had! Learn from our huge mistake! As many others have mentioned, since RotoTiller Guy is not listed with BBB there is no way to report this company...so hopefully this review will save you all the trouble we have purchased.

Very Poorly. He installed a yard full of burnt Sod. Would not come back to inspect or repair on request. Became Belligerent, Angry and insulting during our conversations. Promised me a fixed price. He raised the price 15% on completion even though he assured me there would be no surprises whereas other guys will always up-charge you. I had to pay another to repair his work.
