Mr. Maida?s involvement in the project was instrumental in its successful completion. We hired Pablo to help us with some significant structural and city code compliance issues for our 10 story apartment building in Beverly Hills. He and his team were fantastic in their ability to shepherd the complicated project through the city maze by working with the various agencies in an inclusive and cooperative manner. His ability to navigate the various personalities in the Planning, Building & Safety and City Attorney?s offices saved us from certain closure and significant expense. His team coordinated structural engineering with his very creative architectural solutions in redesigned 40 non compliant rental units, working closely with the City Attorney?s office and the Planning Department and helped us phase the construction such that tenants were minimally affected. His thoroughness with drawings and communications allowed the project to proceed through all phases without a hitch. It was a pleasure to work with him and we remain friends long after the project was completed.

Pablo went above and beyond the contracted hours in order to complete the project. Given the scale of the work, unforeseen issues arose eg extensive additional electical work was needed to bring our house up to code. That meant we had to sacrifice other parts of the project eg extra fitted cabinets, but Pablo was resourceful, tenacious, imaginative, patient and honest - letting us know when our things we wanted had to be changed for reasons outside anyones control. He encouraged us to be brave (custom red wallpaper and a chandelier) to stunning effect. We decided to pay more for design and imagination and management of the contractors and sacrifice getting top of the range products e.g we used IKEA units and mid range appliances, rather than high end, and we are extremely pleased we made that decision.The project was not without its sticking points - but in hindsight they were dealt with smoothly. We still use Pablo for other smaller projects in our house and have no hesitation to continue to do so because we trust his opinion. Using Pablo's service is money extremely well spent. I compare this experience with a previous experience of trying to manage the remodel of 3 bathrooms oursleves, which took 11 months and was nothing short of a stress nightmare.
