I found this shop via the official Kitchenaid website - they're the only official repair shop listed in my area. Angie's list didn't show any reviews. When I called, they didn't answer the local number but did answer the toll-free number. I had some difficulty understanding the lady's accent (later, I would have even more difficulty understanding the repairman) but, while she was curt, she was professional. When I brought the mixer in Thursday mid-morning, I was hesitant, as the entry was from the back through the cluttered, cramped work area and I had to navigate past a very inquisitive (but not hostile) dog. Once inside a repairman took the mixer and listened to my concerns. He directed me to the front of the shop to the lady I'd spoken with earlier on the phone. Again, she was very short, but professional. With minimum fuss I got a claim check - there was some confusion as I thought the repairman said the lady at the desk would give me an estimate but she sent me back to him (again, I had some trouble understanding the accents). The man said he'd call the next day with an estimate, which he did. I couldn't completely figure out what he said was wrong with it, but it seemed a reasonable cost and he said it should be done by the next day (Saturday). Sure enough, Saturday morning he called again and it was all done. I went to pick it up and it was fixed, shiny clean, wrapped in clear plastic, and ready to go. The lady was a little more pleasant (she actually smiled) but still no chat, just very efficient write up and pay out. Overall, they were both professional, efficient, communicated as promised and completed the work in a timely manner. The only thing keeping me from marking A all the way down was that I really couldn't understand what he was trying to tell me was wrong with it, so I don't actually know if the cost was relevant to the repair. I got the mixer home and tried it, and it worked perfectly. I would recommend them highly to anyone with a Kitchenaid product problem. Don't be put off by the accents or the brusque demeanor; their work is excellent. And I kind of liked the dog.

I have a big DeLonghi coffee urn. The glass tube on the coffee urn (where you can see how much coffee is left) had broken. After spending literally hours on hold with DeLonghi, I finally got a customer service agent who told me that they no longer make that particular glass tube. The coffee urn was less than 2 years old at the time, so that seemed ridiculous. Basically, the CS agent said I would have to buy a new urn, at $150.00. Then I went over to Newman's. They had the little tubes in stock, and replaced it in about 5 minutes for less than $10! They were also very nice and helpful.

Overall experience was very positive. I was able to drop off both my lamp and vacuum cleaner. Note that another vacuum cleaner repair shop had told me it would be cheaper to replace the machine, saying it would cost approximately $175 to repair, while Newman's charged me $85 and it works like new. I did have to call them to get the estimate. I had waited maybe three days and had been told I'd be contacted after a day or two. At any rate, once I spoke with them, they were able to go ahead and repair the items for the next day; which helped me tremendously as I was entertaining that evening. The repair guy then helped me carry the items to my car. Will definitely use again.

THERE ARE NO COMPLAINTS. THE PUNCTUALITY WAS NOT A ISSUE BECAUSE WE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THEM. THE RESPONSIVENESS WAS FAIR. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT TEN OR FIFTEEN YEARS.

I WENT THERE AND ASKED THEM ABOUT SOMETHING, AND THEY QUOTED ME A PRICE. WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE MACHINE, I COULD BUY A NEW ONE FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIR. HE SUGGESTED THAT I HAD THE REPAIR WORK DONE.
