It was under warranty, but it usually runs $300 to $400. I have been using them for 20 years. It took 2 hours. They call when it’s ready. The people up front, the receptionist, was wonderful. They could work on their price. Excellent.

I purchased a vehicle from them in 2012. I always give them an A for overall. They gave us a very good deal for a Lexus. The quality of the vehicle is fabulous. They were very responsive, and they are very good. They were very professional, very responsive and did not do any tough haggling. It was a very pleasant experience and that is why we continue to go back to them. The best thing about them is their customer service in sales and service. They are very responsive to you as a customer.

The car is out of warranty. I take it there because that's where my wife likes to take it. It's a dealership. Nobody is happy with dealerships. You're always paranoid that they're ripping you off and you have no control over it. I wouldn't take it there if my wife didn't take it there. I haven't found a reputable mechanic that's any better unfortunately. They're very responsive. They left some fasteners out. When I pointed out the fact that it was missing a bunch of fasteners on the front end, which they had been working on, they go, "Oh, wow, well here." Then, they open a door full of an odd collection of fasteners that obviously had been left out of other people's cars and they said, "Well, which ones here work for you? I go, "I don't know. Let me see." I wound up putting the fasteners in, while I was still there at the dealership.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly associate (Eddie) who was kind enough to show me around and introduce me to a helpful parts manager (Eric). I even met the service manager (Daniel) who couldn't have been nicer. During my visit, they took care of me -- and my car. I feel confident this staff strives for superior customer service, so I will gladly recommend the Santa Monica Lexus Service Center, and I will certainly return to this location in the future.

The service is the highest that I could imagine. When I go in there I feel I am the only person in the world that has this car. It is very professional and I never had this kind of service from any car dealership. I put a lot of money in the car and it is just high. I will tell others that they are going to get the best services that they can imagine. The price is high.

Firstly, they did not honor their tires-for-life contract. The reason why they did not honor is that I did not go there for service. The reason why I did not go there was that from the time I bought the car from them, the navigation system did not work. They kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with it and I kept telling them that there was something wrong with it. Finally, they got a service person who agreed that there was something wrong with it. He told me that I would need to upgrade it, which will be $350. The car was still under warranty but he said that the warranty wouldn't cover it. The warranty did cover it. I went to another Lexus dealer and they confirmed that it was under warranty, that it was not $350 and that all I needed was a new disk and that is what they did. People at Lexus Santa Monica wanted to charge me money and were less than truthful about the condition of the system. There is nothing positive that stands about them to me. I would never deal with them again. They way over charge for a service and I have no idea what they have done with my car. I would urge others not to use their service department.

I dropped my car at Lexus Santa Monica for a minor maintenance. During their and ldquo;safety inspection,and rdquo; they said they discovered an oil leak at my engine cam seal and that my belt drive was cracked. Since the repair estimate was over $1,100, I asked to come in and see for myself what they were talking about. So, while I was in the shop with the lead mechanic, he in fact, COULD NOT show me a crack in the belt drive, NOR could he show me an oil leak. My service rep was embarrassed and blamed the and ldquo;new mechanic.and rdquo; So, basically, the dealer had told me I needed $1,156 worth of work, when in fact I did not. Not only did the mechanic accidentally see a crack in the belt that was not there. He also accidentally saw leaking oil, that was also not there. In my opinion this is fraud. They could not show me anything that remotely looked like a cracked belt or leaking oil. There were three people there besides myself, the lead mechanic, another mechanic and my service rep. No one could show me anything amiss or in need of repair. I sat down with the service manager, and he waived all my charges for the work that had been done, oil change and fluid top off, inspection. They pulled my car out for me to pick up, and I decided to ask my service rep to check the fluids for me, which was part of the supposed service that had been completed. So we discovered that NONE of the fluids had been topped off either. So, they had said that they topped all the fluids off, but in fact they had not.

I bought the tires under warranty so I all I had to pay was for the sales tax. They did a recall that I didn't know about. They filled up the tank and washed the car. The have loaners if you need them.
