I went through the same thing as the other reviewers with Kevin. My educated guess is he is a heroin addict. Definitely on some kind of downward spiral. He might have split personality too. I dunno, I really think he means well but then can't keep it together. I do know you're asking for a lot more than a shed if you enter his world. My shed shoulda taken 2 days but it took more than a month. A very fraught and difficult month. It got done and is mostly as advertised tho there are some roof leaks and some of the walls aren't level, but overall it's very nice, looks like a lil house. But there are issues and I will never call kevin back in for his 10 year warranty because I don't want that back in my life. I used him last summer 2012. Looks like maybe he has gotten even worse since then from the other reviews ive seen. And hes changed his company name and web presence to hide from reviews. I should have posted something right away to deter people from using him but I didn't see any other bad reviews- i hired him bc of a few of great reviews elsewhere and he had a bangin portfolio and smart web presence. So as mad as I was, I took pity and I didn't want to burn a guy who it seemed was having a bad moment. But he's obviously settled into this way of life and he should be stopped. Run dont walk away from this cat.  Use someone else.

His laborers did a demo to clear the area but he has not built anything, nor has he purchased any materials with our $6500.00 deposit.   After giving KEVIN SMITH (Sole owner, operator of LA SHEDS and now just recently changed his name to LA STUDIO SHEDS)  he does not return phone calls, texts, or emails.  We were DEFINITELY robbed by this individual.
He is also NOT LICENSED as he claimed he was.  HE SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ON ANGIE'S LIST !!!
He admitted after the fact that he uses laborers that stand in front of Home Depot.  Something my wife and I were upfront about in our initial consultation with him that we were STRONGLY against. 
Prior to the $6500.00 deposit for shed material, he volunteered to do a concrete job he noticed that I wanted done.  All he did was hire someone from Craig's List and he subbed the job out to them and the job came out very shoddy.  This has been a total nightmare.
Again, he has not brought over one piece of wood !  What did he do with my $6500.00 material deposit?   I now learned that a real licensed contractor would not ask for 5/8 deposit and that was illegal for him to ask for that much.   
Please help me get my money back Angie!
