They have good service. I've used them before. They sent me a coupon in the mail so I had a discount. They are close to my work. They will drive me to work and pick me up if it is within a certain distance. I would get an estimate if it was more substantial work because dealers usually charge me.

I had a flat over the labor day weekend. It was covered under a tire protection plan as I purchased my tires at Honda when I had other work done to the front end. I bought a new tire elsewhere because Honda was closed that weekend. I called up to find out about the rebate and was told I had to bring the tire in. When I did they quickly processed the return and called me back about the procedure for a refund of the portion of the tire that I was entitled to. I haven't received the money yet, but they promised to call me when they received the funds. I've been taking my car to Honda of Santa Monica since 2003. They offer drop off service within a 5 mile radius and since I work nearby I frequently take advantage of this courtesy. Once they even picked me up.

The motor on my Civic Hybrid died while driving and I had it towed to Santa Monica Honda, the closest dealer. They found that the motor had hydro-locked due to contaminated fuel and had to be replaced. Luckily, this was covered by my insurance company. The found a used engine and put it in and the car has run well since then. I would take it there for service as well, but I now live on the other side of LA.
I was particularly impressed with Ronald Gee, our service advisor who worked with the insurance company and got the repairs done in a timely manner while keeping me informed of progress.

I'm always very struck by their professionalism and clarity in letting me know what is going on with my car. By using just one repair service like Honda of Santa Monica I just feel if I ever have any problems, they are the only people who have ever touched the car, they're the ones who will be responsible.

The salesman was knowledge and knew the ins and outs of the vehicles. They were easy to deal with in the beginning but in the end we had a disagreement with the financial dept. I found a better interest rate elsewhere.

NEVER have they done it right the first time. NEVER has it been done on time. The last thing I brought it in for (a month ago) it took three times for them to fix it-and it's still not right. They have scratched and broken expensive parts. Christina the service writer is so rude I stopped talking to her long ago. They have misdiagnosed problems to the point where I had to go online, talk to other people and find out what the problem was. Then I went back and told THEM what was wrong-they were too lazy to get deep enough into the diagnosis to actually figure out what it was. I went back and told them what was wrong, they fixed it, then said "I'm glad WE finally figured it out." No, they didn't. Also, if I give them a list of things to fix/service, they actually put the stuff on the work order, THEN DON'T DO IT! I'm finally burned out enough that I won't go back anymore. On the other hand, Fernando and Frank are very friendly-they just can't get your bike fixed-or check the work some lame mechanic did before they give it back to you! Now my girlfriend needs a new car, and we won't be going there based on my motorcycle service. ALSO-NO COURTESY SHUTTLE for car or motorcycle customers. I'll go somewhere where I can get a ride to work when I drop off my vehicles. The place I bring my car to (not a Honda) gives out loaner cars when you're in for service!

I have taken my cars (Hondas) to this mechanic shop for many years because of good experiences. They have long hours including full day on Saturday. It's a large operation and for most things you don't need an appointment, you can bring your car when it's convenient for you. They have a van to drive you back to your home or office, or they have an Enterprise car rental adjacent to them, where you get a discount if your car is in their shop. My service manager has always been Ron Gee. He is friendly and knowledgeable. Often, the cost of the repairs is less than the estimate. Many times I've gone in with a problem and they fixed it for free while i waited. They wash your car after a major service if you request it. The repairs are timely and they usually have all the parts needed. Most recently I had a major tune up. My car is a 1993 with 150,000 miles and they keep it running like new. I have the maintenance done regularly. The recent tune up went well. There were no surprises. The work was done on time. Ron called me at my office to let me know what the car needed and to ask me what i wanted done, and i told him i would have the brakes and would wait on another thing. He always tells me whether it's needed right away or if it can wait.

They were efficient and didn't have a lot of *Expletive*. I knew what I came in for and I walked out with it. They had a good price and they didn't make me haggle a lot. They treated me like a return customer like the way that you expect to be treated. I have bought 5 cars from them over the years. I have also had them do body work for me twice within the last year on my other car. The reason why I am giving them a C on the quality of work, as there was water spots on the engine. I have not told them about this yet, but I will go back and have them clean my engine. When I picked up my car they supposedly had my car ready all expect for the water spots cleaned off. They do fantastic with service work.
