We are smart, clean, customer service oriented and perform superior prep and enamel work. All painters are full-time, year round employees and they are uniformed and prepared for each day. Excellence from the first meeting to the last follow up. The entire team exceeded our expectations, and the work was absolutely professionally planned and executed. They took care of our large 2 unit / 3 story condo building on a challenging sight (we are on a hill). The estimated cost was very reasonable and our change orders were also very competetively priced. Absolutely recommend Certa pro.!

They seemed to have done a good job, but on further inspection (by many other paint companies,) they did not prime with enough primer or use the right kind of paint. For example using flat paint where it should have been in a satin or low gloss finish. BEWARE.

From giving me an estimate to the completion of the job, the entire CertaPro Santa Monica team was extremely professional, detailed and timely. They did an amazing job and were super easy to work with. I'm extremely happy. I will definitely use them again and would refer them to anyone looking for a beautiful and stress free paint job.

Chris Williams did an exceptional job on a difficult project. We had problems with the crane/lift that was initially provided to do the job. When that method turned out to be unsafe, scaffolding had to be built, a more expensive item. Despite those additional costs, Chris honored the original bid. But more than that, Chris is great to work with. He's knowledgable, patient, attentive and trustworthy. His crew is great, too. Our Homeowners Association has been using Chris and CertaPro for years. They are the only paint company we will use, and we recommend them whenever we can to people who need painting professionally done. A ten out of ten!

CertaPro of Santa Monica did an excellent job on our house. We had contacted three companies from Angie's List for bids, and CertaPro Painters of SM came in right in where we felt comfortable. Stephen Winterrowd was the lead, and their contract was thorough and complete. The two workers were prompt every morning (the project took five days) and their work was conscientious and detailed. The guys always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the work day. It was painless. We had one hiccup on the project, where we misunderstood the level of prep work to be done on a portion of the house. It was our misunderstanding, and CertaPro had not done anything wrong, yet Stephen was gracious enough to provide us with a complimentary $50 gift card to smooth over any hard feelings, which we appreciated. We would use CertaPro again.

The painting job went great. The two painters, Lester and Carlos, showed up promptly at 8am each day and kept me informed regarding the work for the day. The whole project took 3 days. My main concern was for my master bedroom, which had some spots and wear and tear on the walls. Lester addressed the issue with priming the walls and painting. They helped me move furniture away from the walls and put it back after painting.

Stephen was prompt, professional and Lester did a great job on our doors. They were fading & cracked from living near the westside sea air and now they look so much better! They worked with us on repairing some minor cracks and also on choosing the right color to match our gutters and house trim. Would definitely work with them again!

My husband and I removed old closet systems from 2 bedroom closets, planning to patch and repaint the closets ourselves. After looking at the condition of the walls, we realized we did not have the skills to repair them. I contacted Certapro Painters of Santa Monica through their website, making an appointment for early Tuesday morning, because a friend had had a great experience with them.
Steven was exactly on time. He looked at the closets and assessed what would be needed to repair them prior to the installation of our new closet systems. I was delighted that he was able to schedule the work for the next day because I was on a tight timeline.
Steven was professional, knowledgable, and friendly.
Andres showed up exactly on time, too. He quickly went to work, putting down protective drop cloths throughout the work spaces. He worked efficiently and under difficult circumstances (no lights in the closets, small closets) during the 2 days in my home. The finished product is better than I could have expected, given how bad the starting points were in each closet. The walls are now smooth, which they were not when the work began. I don't find it easy to have workmen in the home, but Andres was pleasant and professional.

The whole process was great from start to finish. They responded quickly and came out to do an estimate and were very professional, measuring everything, pointing out cracks in the wall that we'd want fixed and offering suggestions. Initially we were only going to get our bedroom painted, but Stephen's estimate was about half of the price of other estimates we'd gotten so we opted to have our entry way painted as well. It ended up being the same price as others were quoting us for just our bedroom.
The day of the painting went great as well, Stephen even exchanged the paint we'd picked out when we changed our mind on the color (totally our fault!). His workers did a fantastic job, the paint looks great and they completely cleaned the area when they were done. I would highly recommend them to others.

They are very good. The manager, Tom Moore, has been to my house and all my friend’s houses and he is very good. They will come and do small jobs after each job if you have some damage from deliveries or something so that is really nice. The price was very good. They are the only people I use.

Stephen Winterrowd called immediately after I contacted the company through Angie's List. He was courteous and professional and scheduled a time to come out and give us an estimate to remove a acoustic (popcorn) ceiling in our apartment. He showed up at the scheduled appointed time and was very courteous and professional. He was very easy to work with. He supplied a written estimate of work and a complete explanation of what they would be doing. After agreeing to the price, we scheduled a date for the work.
The workers, Andres and Eric, showed up on the appointed day and time and started working immediately. Everyone we encountered from CertaPro Painters of Santa Monica were courteous, efficient and professional. They did the work as described in the estimate, but unfortunately it did take 2 days longer than expected. It was supposed to be a 2 day job, but ended up being a 4 day job. They wanted to insure that everything was indeed dry before applying the next coat. We understood completely. We ran into a little snag with the ceiling color, but they handled it immediately and took care of it. It was a little darker than we anticipated and they were so kind to take care of the change at no extra charge. Very well done! Excellent work!
