ARTISTIC ENVIRONMENTS

My husband and I had not done a great deal to our living room and den for 27 years. I also wanted to convert a bedroom to an office. Now that our son is out of the house we decided to interview interior decorators. We were looking for someone who was easy to work with, who would give us an honest opinion and yet not be overbearing. Enter Janet Carpenter of Artistic Environments. As soon as we met her, we knew that she was ?the one?. Janet understood our style and the fact that we wanted our eclectic art collection to be the ?star?. She recognized that the furniture and accessories should be elegant but also meld into the background. Janet always has a smile and is very easy to work with. She brought fabrics, made suggestions, answered every email promptly and came by whenever we asked her to. We shopped for furniture and her input was always spot on. When we decided to go shopping on our own or to make style changes, she supported us completely. Janet appreciates contemporary art and was able to give us some wonderful suggestions for the placement of some of those pieces as well. In the past, we would use our living room sparingly, only when guests came over. Now, we enjoy listening to music, with a drink and take great delight in our beautiful home. She designed my in-home office which is not only functional, but very attractive. It is now a place that I feel very creative. The next time we want to do any updating we will definitely call Janet.
