This is a family owned and run vacuum repair shop located on S. Bradley Rd. in Orcutt. I had pretty much given up hope of finding such a place and drove 25 miles to deliver my vacuum for some TLC. I am so glad I did. Deb, the owner, was extremely warm and friendly (I did not get to meet her son who was also there but looked to be very busy in the repair area), and after I explained how the vacuum was acting, whining and not picking up anything, Deb told me they would look it over and call me if there were any major problems; otherwise, they would go ahead and do any small work as they found a problem. She asked when I would like to have it back and I said three days, if that was possible. Sure enough, I was called on the morning of the third day to say the "patient" was ready. Deb asked me when I had last changed the HEPA filter? "HEPA filter?? Change it???" I was embarrassed to admit how neglectful I had been and honestly did not know the filter should be changed once a year. I had created the problem all on my own! Replacement of the filter and a new belt solved the problem. Owner's Manuals are included for a reason. All is well now, and I am so happy to have found Orcutt Vacuum and Cleaning Supplies instead of having to replace my vacuum.
