From start to finish Vicente and his assistant Diego were everything one could hope for in a project like this.  I chose him based partly on his many positive reviews, and I can concur that it's all true.  I have 5 cats which required sequestering from one end of the house to the other and minimizing noise.  He was very considerate of all requests and adjusted the location of the sawing accordingly.  He was punctual and always focused on the task.  he and Diego really seemed to work well as a team, and Diego seemed very knowledgeable as well.  Vicente stopped work to point out any concerns to me before continuing.  Each day he cleaned up the work area and touched bases with me about the next day.  The install took 5 days, which was a relief to me and the 5 felines.  I have passed his name on to several people who will need an installer soon.   His charges were very reasonable.   (I had other estimates which were way off mark)  Thank you Vicente and Diego.  Love the floors!

Vicente the owner operator communicated with us very well. He did great job and even went the extra mile by buying & delivering wall molding for us. He completed job on time and cleaned up after. We are pleased with quality of work. We highly recommend floor savvy, this kind of high quality & reliable contractor you expect to be on Angie's list.

From start to finish Vicente was everything you would want from a contractor and more. The quote was also reasonable compared to others I had received. Even though I purchased the flooring separately, Vicente picked it up and delivered it in batches a day or so before it was needed. In the kitchen, Vicente stained the quarter round to match the existing cabinets perfectly.

As we were replacing floors throughout the entire house, we needed to coordinate moving furniture/belongings etc. Vicente was extremely flexible and actually split the job into two jobs. This allowed us to do the front half of the house, take a short break and complete the back half of the house. This was very helpful for us. Vicente and his assistant arrived promptly each day, maintained a clean, organized work environment and meticulously cleaned up at the end of each day. I was expecting to be living in a construction zone for the duration but each day I home  to spotless floors and all equipment removed from the house and stored in his trailer. The quality of workmanship I can't say enough about. My floors/baseboards look fabulous and I couldn't be more pleased. Vicente was also kind enough to set up and loan me his saw horses and paint roller so I could more easily paint my baseboards before they were installed. So much easier than painting them after installation.

Being a pet owner I am always paranoid about contractors letting the dog escape. Vicente was extremely conscientious about my little dog and on the days I had to confine him to one room Vicente was kind enough to let him out when they finished up.

I highly recommend Vicente. The entire job was completed on time and right on (or just under) budget.

Vicente Olmedo did an outstanding job on the hardwood floors and tile he installed in our home.  He did ever thing you hope a contractor would do.  He arrived when he said he would, he completed all the work he promised to do, he was careful to maintain a clean work environment, he communicated with us about project details, and he finished ahead of schedule.  Mr. Olmedo is a true professional and excellent craftsman.  In addition, he brings with him good equipment and a talented assistant.  We were very satisfied with the beautiful, final results of his work because of his attention to details.  We will certainly use him again for any future flooring needs we have.

I am a retired General Building Contractor with 48 years of experience in the construction industry.  Vicente is in the top  one percent of those who I feel stand out as  exceptional in the trades.  His prices are competitive, his workmanship is excellent.
   The job-site was kept very clean and well organized, as were his tools. He was prompt, arriving each day at the stated time.  The job was completed quickly and with care and professionalism.   He is a pleasant person to be around,and  interacts well with people.  My tenant was an elderly single woman, Vicente and his crew moved her furniture with care, and then replaced it all when completed, and also installed protective felt on the furniture bases to protect the laminate.  He installed 6 inch decorative baseboards throughout, the corners and miter-cuts were done with skill and pride. 
   Its difficult to find contractors with this level of skill, pride and  professionalism.    I'll be asking for his help on my future flooring jobs.  He's a great person to work with!

I was asked specifically by my client to write a review for her about her recent experience using Vince at Floor Savvy. The original wood floors on an older home were missing a few pieces in the bedroom which needed to be repaired before my client wanted to put the house for sale on the market. I gave her Vince's number as well as two other wood repair specialists which I got from your website, since I had no one I could personally recommend. I told her that he rated really high on your website and that the reviews were great. She contacted Vince and he responded right away and came to assess the repairs that needed to be done. She was so impressed with his professionalism, especially by the excellent job he did not once but twice on different jobs and the reasonable cost that he charged. She as well as I, will highly recommend his services to anyone that needs quality wood floor repairs done in the future!

Vicento came out and quoted the floors and we scheduled an install date. They came out as scheduled, worked most of the day and did a great job. Some base board got broken due to water damage, they went and got replacement pieces which really wasn't their responsibility. I was very pleased with the qualtiy of work and the time frame in which it was done.

Showed up per schedule with a crew of two. Installed bamboo flooring per my instructions.Planning on using again to
install carpeting and vinyl flooring in two bathrooms.

Vince is the most thoughtful and costumer oriented contractor whom we have worked with. He calls in even if he is 5 minutes late from arriving to work. He is very detail oriented, precise, and meticulous in doing his job. He always leaves his work area neat and clean at the end of the day.
No detail is too small for Vince and Diego when doing their job. For example, they both hand inspected each plank of wood and each tile one by one prior to installation. After the floors are in, Vince then aplied felt pads in the furnitures legs to avoid scratching the new floors.
In particular, I like to express our appreciation to Vince and Diego (his cousin) who worked with us in installing the floor heating system. Vince did his research and contacted the company to make the installation right.
With Vince, our house remodellling was not as complicated and stressful as it would have been. He is always pleasant to work with and has a relaxed and pleasant disposition.
I would highly recommend Vince and Floor Savvy to anybody doing home remodelling similar to ours. I wish Vince all the best and that his company Floor Savvy would grow and prosper. Vince exemplifies how contractors should work with their customers and how they should do their job.

I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable and organized Vince is. And, how hard he works to please. Frequently, the installer is the weakest link in the chain. Not so this guy. We encountered a moisture problem and with his guidance and recommendations, it was solved within a couple hours. THIS GUY IS THE BEST!!! He deserves an A+++.

We have nothing but good things to say about Vincente Olmeda and his workers. From the very beginning when he came to give us an estimate, he was prompt, courteous and willing to take the time to answer any and all questions. We were impressed with how knowledgeable he was and he has a very professional demeanor. A few times we had to rearrange or postpone start dates and he was very flexible and easy to work with. He always answered our calls or e-mails right away which is a rare thing among contractors. The laminate floor and baseboards he installed look absolutely beautiful and we were extremely happy with the work he did. We highly recommend Floor Savvy (Mr. Olmeda) to anyone that needs to have a laminate floor installed.

Vicente returned my phone inquiry promptly, was flexible with my schedule for an estimate, and showed up on time (late on a Saturday afternoon!!) to look the place over. He worked up a price on the spot, which was right in line with what I expected it to cost. I have been a small contractor myself (electrical, general), so I know a bit about what it takes to install these projects, and I know they're not cheap, plus Vicente was traveling from Santa Maria to Los Osos to do this, so some extra in gas and time was necessary. Vicente is not cheap, nor should he be. He's a journeyman craftsman, in every sense. From set up, to clean up, advice on material, scheduling, and the finished product, he was great. I recommend him with the highest regard. You might have to wait a bit for your project, as I did, but it was well worth it.

However, as far as Lumber Liquidators, they were just average. Be aware that they WILL try to upsale you in a big way. Check around for your material, price and availability varies a good bit.
