Hair Salons/Barbers
I called for an appointment and was able to get one that afternoon with Eileen, the owner. When I arrived at her shop there was no waiting and she went right to work professionally highlighting my hair using the foil (paper) method to bleach the selected strands as needed. I also showed her a photo of a hair style that I liked and she cut my hair to exactly match it, to my delight. The highlighting turned out to be quite lovely too. The appointment was a comparatively short one considering the work she did. Now I am ready for the Holiday Season!
The beauty shop is in a street mall neighborhood close to the beach in Santa Cruz but easily accessible. It is charming, clean and well organized and very friendly. Eileen has two sweet little well-behaved dogs who mostly lounged in an extra chair in the shop, which is a relaxing feature for pet lovers.
Eileen also offers a senior discount on her already reasonable rates. Her haircuts are only $15.00. She also cuts men's and children's hair. I would certainly recommend Simply Hair to anyone needing a hair cut or color.
