They removed structural supports without replacing them; Replaced 2x6 ceiling joyce with 2x4's causing numerous problems; Removed siding, insulation and drywall without replacing it before reroofing causing even more difficulties; Only partially reinstalled the roofing, and roofed over rotten plywood without giving me an opportunity to replace it. Installed rain gutters which were included but still tried to charge extra then _INTENTIONALLY_ did not install any downspouts prior to downpours in an attempt to cause even greater difficulties and never came back to install the downspouts after I'd called and written repeatedly. Naturally they charged me for 'overages' on items that were previously "included", and when I attempted to withhold an appropriate amount of the final payment due to the downspouts not having ever been installed, Matthew physically came to my house and threatened my elderly destitute widowed mother whom I've been taking care of. In order to resolve the work they didn't finish and all some of the issues they created, I hired a 2nd highly reputable licensed roofing contractor and discovered how much they were overcharging me.. The quality of workmanship they performed was inferior to doing it myself or hiring day laborers and the price was greatly excessive as well, especially considering I had to hire someone else to finish and fix their mess which I'm still dealing with more then six months later.. So I'd say avoid my former ' friend' Matthew Fanning and all of his accomplices at all costs.
Description of Work: Made the mistake of contracting someone I thought was a 'friend' and licensed contractor to help with a roofing repair and flooring replacement project, and found out Matthew is no friend and is also unlicensed. Matthew gave me a quote to do " everything" which were his own words he repeated several times, and he brought in someone with a team who was more familar and alledgedly a licensed construction cntractor to do a roof replacement prior to doing the flooring. I was told by Matthew he would "take care of everything" for which I was quoted and for which I paid cash.
