JC Window Cleaning & Gutter Clearing

MISSION ABORTED DUE TO HIS TAKING OFFENSE, SAYING I HAD AN 'ATTITUDE' after he showed up. This time, he didn't return my phone call and had to keep calling. The scope of the job had been discussed repeatedly on that phone call as it seemed I had to cajole him to come after finding out he no longer had his no fear of heights co-worker. I said, then clean only the parts of the gutter you are comfortable with. Can you apply caulk to a 2' portion of the lower roof over the front door? Yes. He agreed to do that with materials I provided. He came out late for a morning appointment, however I didn't bring that up to him. After he put his ladder up over the front door, (1.) I asked him why didn't he approach from the other direction. He didn't like me asking him that. (2.). He tapped the edge of his metal ladder to the metal ledge of my roof and I said "please don't mar that", in a matter of fact way, It is the norm to put a pad between metal on metal surfaces. He hadn't taken the time to slip it up to cover that "hit" spot. (3.). When he asked me, before he got on the ladder, if I wanted him to also clean the gutters, I said, "the more time you spend here, the more money you make". Make sense?. I cannot read his mind, with him being a little late, how much time was there on this schedule? To me that gave HIM more control, but he didn't take it that way. He refused to continue, saying, I could not treat him like a "boy at the hardware store" (what?) so it was my ATTITUDE that aborted the job --as if he had even gotten started! I'd call him a temperamental Diva if I saw any component there besides hiring the right employees.
