MISSION STATEMENT Our company works closely with the clients to create exterior surroundings with natural appeal and unique beauty that are mindful of longevity, sustainability and simplicity of maintenance. We approach each design with the awareness of the built environment, the surrounding landscape, the natural environment and the clients needs and goals. This results in striking projects that are long lasting with a unique sense of place. Our team has extensive knowledge of native ecosystems, sustainable practices, rainwater catchment, roof and site water run-off, and site engineering. At every opportunity we practice these responsible design principals. By providing both design and installation services our clients benefit by having the project in synch from beginning to end. We feel this ensures that the completed projects accurately reflect all elements of the original design and maintains a high quality of construction. Shanti Wertz holds a Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University. Upon graduating Shanti worked plant nurseries broadening her plant knowledge and began her own Landscape Design Company. Shanti is also employed with the Santa Cruz County Office of Education Regional Occupational Program, where she teaches high school gardening, horticulture, agriculture production, and computer aided drafting classes. Shanti has extensive knowledge of both ornamental and edible plant material, along with an artistic and sustainable approach to landscape design.
