The original date for repair was scheduled for Dec. 6, 2013 at 8:00 AM. Chris called me very timely to let me know he was short of workers that day due to a worker's illness. We rescheduled for Dec. 13, 2013 at 9:00 AM. I really appreciated that he let me know right away instead of leaving me hanging, as some contractor's do. On the 13th, he called me to let me know that the workers would be there at 10:30 AM instead of at 9:00AM. Again, he was very professional and timely in letting me know. The two workers did arrive at 10:30AM. They were very courteous and professional. After seeing the area above ground in the dining area, one went under the house to double check how much of subfloor if any needed to be worked on. They worked together as a team with one giving info to the other who was in the dining area. As I recall the work underneath was minimal, but taken care of to make sure the subfloor and rim joists were repaired as needed. The damaged hardwood (which was near the window panel that was non-sliding ) was removed and replaced with a piece of hardwood I had saved from the original installation. I had understood that they would not be applying filler or stain to that piece as that is really out of their area. They did tell me what to do to protect the wood until I have the whole floor refinished which I had explained I will be doing in the next few years. They also pointed out that because this was inserting one piece into the floor, the one piece is actually a little higher than the rest of the floor. That can be remedied when I have the floor refinished. I wasn't concerned because the area was right next to the window so no one would trip on it. Also my main concern was to keep the dry rot from spreading. They also cleaned the exterior caulking on the window and resealed with new caulking. They cleaned up everything very nicely and put the cover back on the crawl space for me. I am very happy with the job they did.

I worked with the lady in the office, Liz, who was very helpful and efficient. I had a report from another company who had inspected my house for drywood termites. I didn't want to pay for another report so provided her with the one I had. I knew termites were eating my hardwood floors so there was no question I had termites.She sent the fumigation company out to measure the house area and then gave me a bid. I had some conerns about the amount of preparation I would need to do before the company fumigates. She had the fumigation company call me and then that person came out to talk to me about what I needed to do as I have a small deck and fence area in front of my house. I was concerned because the other company I was considering using wanted me to do quite a bit of work and would fine me if I didn't get it done and caused delay in the fumigation schedule. There is quite a bit of work to prepare anyway on top of all the extra things they want you to do. He helped me figure out how much I would need to trim the bushes and tried to arrange for someone to come out to help me with the fence. I decided to go with them because they had good reviews on Angies List as well as other places I researched. Their price was in the range of the other company although it was a little higher, but not by much. Although the person who was supposed to help me with the fence didn't come out, the workers from the fumigation company actually helped me with what I needed done. Everything went well. The day of the fumigation I remained until they arrived. They checked the cupboards and bathroom medicine cabinet to make sure I had gotten rid of things I was supposed to . I returned on Oct. 17th late in the day. The house was locked up and the key was where I asked them to put it. Everything looked ok. Since the fumigation, I have had no evidence of the termites eating my hardwood floors. I do check periodically to make sure. Overall, I was happy with what was done. I asked a lot of questions of Liz and the fumigation company both and they were good about talking to me. I later had 4 Less Termite Repair come out to repair some dry rot in my dining area floor. I will write about that in a separate review.

They were very agreeable and realistically they were not trying to drum-up business or anything like that. We liked them and we were very impressed with the shed that they built for us. We were very satisfied with them and he did not try to blow up the dangers but seemed to be realistic. We had tiny amount of work done. Price wise it is very hard to compare.

I've been seeing termite dust around the house, so I knew we'd need to have the house treated. When the wind blew some wood off of a rafter, I knew it was overdue. Fortuneately for us, there was no major structural damage. Some rafter tails and a bad siding patch that needed repair.
My neighbor used 4 less when he bought his house, so I gave them a call. Liz runs the office and is pleasant to work with. Chris knows his stuff when it comes to fixing your house as well as controling the bugs.
There is some paperwork to fill out, but it's not hard. You do have to prepare your house for the fumigation and stay out for a few days, but you'll get rid of the bugs that would eventually eat you out of your house.

We weren't here when 4 Less Termite Control and Repair did the work. Their customer service was very good. They responded promptly.

I've been shopping for house for a number of years and read quite a few termite inspection reports from the 4less folks. They caught a lot of issues that home inspectors did not so we were happy to use them when we finally purchased our new home.
The 4less folks were very easy to get on the phone, returned phone calls and generally had their act together. They were all pleasant to deal with. The termite report recommended tenting the house and making some repairs, which we used 4less to handle.
The tenting process couldn't have been easier. They were able to do the work with short notice and it went like clockwork.
Having the repairs done wasn't as clear-cut. I had a hard time understanding exactly what work they would do and when exactly they would do it. Weather was a complicating factor as it was raining off and on at that time.
In any case the work was done promptly and satisfactorily.
One minor complaint is that they could have cleaned up a bit better after themselves as there was a minor mess left behind on the ground from cutting and painting.

It was a very positive experience and they did a great job. They did everything just like they said they were going to do and when they said they were going to do it, and that is unusual around here.

The office lady (Rachel) communicated very well and was friendly and helpful -- a definite asset to the business. Chris (the owner) was punctual, responsive, knowledgable and also communicated very well. He was recommended by a friend of ours, for whom Chris had worked for ten years.

The process was very straightforward, no surprises.

Will definitely call 4-Less again if we need to. (Hope we dont need to, of course.)

This was the only interaction I have had with this company. They did a fine job. We didn't have any bad experiences with them; they just did what they were supposed to do. I thought the price was reasonable.

They set up the appointment quickly, provide information and supplies to prepare the house contents, arrived as scheduled and fumigated. Over time, we saw some indication that termites might still be present and the company's owner came and checked. There was some residue leaking through cracks, but no live termites. He explained what was happening, and how to prevent future problems. We have asked them to replace the last single-pane window, and they recommended a roofer to take care of other issues. While he was here, he also checked all the outside wood/stucco contacts to make sure there were no problems. I was very satisfied.

They were professional. The quality of work seemed standard and normal. Everything in this house is regulated so it was as it is supposed to be. They showed up within 1 1/2 weeks of scheduling.

The inspectors were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me. They don't sell you anything you don't need. I just pay pay them everytime they come over to do any kind of maintenance work.
