Hallway Plumbing

We had such a difficult time. They realized that the company was really not doing well and they were helpful with getting it fixed and so on. So, that was good. The cost was covered by insurance. There were some issues with the way we were being treated and they were helpful in advocating for us.

They were here July of 2010.  It cost $5500. 

I have used Hallway Plumbing a few times now to fix leaky water valves/faucets and to upgrade plumbing connections.  On this occasion, my water heater was failing.  I told them on the phone what the issue was, and mentioned that I wanted a pan for the new water heater.  We discussed different brands and what they recommended.  When the plumber arrived, he had everything he needed.  He removed the old water heater and pointed out that the water valve needed replacing as it would not turn off.  He also noted there was no shut off valve for the gas line.  I like things done the right way, and had them do the recommended work.  While he was there, I mentioned that I thought water was leaking under the kitchen sink.  He was happy to look at it after finishing up with the water heater.  I had done some kitchen upgrades about 18 months prior - new counter tops, new sink and garbage disposal.  A friend of mine had recommended a handy man who I had used to put in the garbage disposal.  Big mistake!  The handyman had not properly installed the disposal (only used 2 of the 3 screws that attached the disposal to the sink - doh!) and the pipe configuration under the sink left a lot to be desired - pipes left too short, etc.  Hallway's technician showed me all the issues, and reworked the pipe configuration, reinstalled the disposal and pointed out another issue with an uphill exit drain that will be fixed another day.   Their prices are reasonable, they are clean, personable, prompt and do great work.
