Ultimately they  did a good job but I had to insist that they do the work the way it needed to be done. They were going to take short cuts and you know it was flooring and the thing with the floating floor is the job is kind of only as good as the sub floor preparation and, you know, after you installed floating floors it will tell you the sub floor has to be leveled within an eight of an inch over eight feet or whatever and they are very specific and if you watch like this old house video they show you when you take a straight edge and press for any high spots or any low spots and they didn't do that. They just kind of looked at it and walked over it and it's like okay yeah good. And I said aren't you going to check for high and low spots like your supposed to and there were big gaps in the sub floor like like a quarter inch deep and and like an inch or so wide and I said are you going to fill those in and they are like well I've got some silicone stuff we can put in there and so I said no you guys need to do it right you need to use like a solid wood filler because silicone is, like, spongy. So I personally went out and bought some bond or wood filler for them to use. And then later they tried to charge me for their wasted time because they were sitting around I was like well cause you didn't do the job right in the first place.Once we got over that hurdle they actually did a good job on the installation but you know I think they figure well nobody is going to know cause once the floor is in you don't know that it wasn't done right until suddenly you discover oh gosh like a squeak or the woods cracking you know but by then it's too late so.

I met with Jessica at SimpleFloors in Santa Clara and she was fantastic. They have a large selection of flooring in which I was interested in bamboo. Now I heard that bamboo flooring tends to be soft but she actually demonstrated the hardness of the bamboo with the samples she had and also informed me that the bamboo I am interested in has a Janka rating of 3000. I had initially wanted carpet upstairs which the one I was interested was around $6/sqft but when Jessica showed me bamboo at around $3.50 and then discounted it I wanted to get the whole home done minus kitchen and bathrooms. I had the entire home (approximately 1500 sqft) done in bamboo. She made the ordering process easy and continually followed up on our order. She schedule an estimator to come out whose name is Art. He showed up on time and ran the information over to Jessica to finalize the ordering process for the material.
Art and his team came out to deliver the material and allowed a few days for the wood to acclimate before installation. Installation took about 5 days with 3 guys. I was informed that the job would have been completed sooner if the 4th member was not sick but they all did a great job. I am very happy with the work they did and would recommend SimpleFloors and Art Floor coverings for installation.

I had the great misfortune of having my washing machine bust a hose and flood my place. Amid the indescribable nightmare associated with dealing with a shady flood abatement company, my admittedly awesome insurance company, having to squat with relatives for two months, SimpleFloors (and their installation contractor) was a major bright spot.

I had occasion to work with three of the salespeople and they were all friendly, funny, efficient, professional, and supportive during my time of crisis. Jessica ultimately completed my order and it was an effortless process. She even honored the contractor's discount after the flood abatement company's contractor backed out of the project...

...and am I glad he did. The installer with whom SimpleFloors contracts was wonderful as well.

The engineered hardwood I chose (couventury maple) looks spectacular in my place. It looks expensive but was in fact quite affordable. I visited 11 other stores in addition to countless websites, and SimpleFloors beat all prices on comparable flooring by a minimum of $1/sq.ft.

Thanks to Jessica, Art, and everyone else at SimpleFloors/Art Floor Covering!
