Earth Bound Homes is a Santa Clara based General Contractor specializing in custom zero energy and low energy sustainable new homes and home renovations throughout the Peninsula and South Bay Areas. Earth Bound Homes has built the highest Green Point Rated home in California (309 points), has built several Zero Energy/Zero Carbon and LEED Platinum Homes, and is currently in construction on what will be the highest scoring LEED Platinum home ever built in the United States. As a seasoned general contractor and PhD level scientist, Earth Bound President Dr. David Edwards’ extensive research into the best practices and materials available for sustainable home building and remodeling has resulted in homes that are the healthiest, most durable, and highest quality. Earthbound Homes are not knowledgable, and cut costs -- and corners -- by employing subcontractors who are also not knowledgable. The results are horrific.
We are terminating them and seeking damages. Incidentally, we know (from the owner of Earthbound) that they were recently also terminated from another job in the neighborhood.
If you are still considering using them, please ask a reputable architect for an opinion. Architects know what builders are good -- and which ones are to be avoided. We wish we had taken this caution.
