They are extremely polite but ineffective. In the last week, I've had Comcast people here 3 times to sort out a problem with the video and so far they are not effective. They have come up with 3 different reasons why everything isn't working. They try different fixes and none of them worked.

1. They do not have reliable recording of programs.
- Sometimes the program records but will not play.
- Sometimes the program records at the wrong time.
- 2. Almost ever channel has breakup, extreme pixelation especially if there is too much movement in the program or too much detail. Basically, the compression breaks down so you see blocks instead of video.
- 3. Prices for services are outrageous and constantly rising.
- 4. The audio levels are all over the place.
- 5. Some programs are excessively noisy.

They have some type of service that, when you have wi-fi issues with a particular item like your Nook or iPad or whatever, they will help you out for $40. It’s totally an outstanding thing. We had a problem with my Nook and they figured it out. When I got an iPad I couldn’t get hooked up to the internet at all. One person said that he thought it was an internal problem with the iPad thing so I took it back to the store and he was right. Apple swapped out the unit and then it was easy to hook up. That service was invaluable and it was totally worth every second of it. We handled all this on the phone. I would give them an A+ -- I was so thrilled with them. The price is well-worth it. They are great troubleshooters.

I had Comcast install cable and internet service in my new home, which never had cable before. The first installer claimed he could not install my cable because he didn't have the right equipment to access the box on the telephone pole behind my house. They sent a supervisor an hour later with the right equipment. Everything was setup fine, however, some of my HDTV channels did not work. After many phone calls, it was determined that I was sold a package that was incorrect and did not allow for what I wanted. I was forced to pay $5 more per month. I felt they should have honored the originally quoted price. Since then, I will admit that the cable and internet services have worked very well.

Comcast came out and installed our Internet/cable TV service. The installer didn't know how to install our VCR with the cable TV service. Not very professional. The actual TV/Internet service is great although the price is much too high. We pay like $45/month. for "expanded basic" and another $45 for Internet. If I had my choice, I would just take the Internet and go with satellite, although then they increase the Internet price by $10. I can't wait for the free high speed Internet coming to the Bay Area within 1-2 years. So I can see ya later Comcast.

The technician showed up on time. It took him 10 minutes to install. We were able to go online within 15 minutes.

Because I had to get written approval from my homeowners association before they could run a new cable, they had to make two visits. They were on time for both appointments which were granted within 24 hours, they were very polite and helpful even though I admitted that the DVR problems may be due to my ignorance. I was very impressed with their immediate attention to our problems and the competent resolution of them. Wow, we now have a working TV in our kitchen and the mysteries of the DVR have been banished.

AFTER ORDERING SERVICE VIA INTERNET PROMOTIONAL SITE, IT WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET TECHNICIAN TO MY HOME DURING THE SPECIFIED TIMES, WHEN THEY DID COME, THEY DID NOT HAVE THE NECESSARY INFORMATION TO MAKE THE CORRECT INSTALLATION. I HAD TO MAKE NECESSARY PHONE CALLS TO GET CORRECT PROMOTION APPLIED TO MY SERVICE.
