Very well; company replaced the motor and did all work beautifully. A different company said the whole door needed replacement, which it did not. This is an honest company that does good work.

Very satisfied their prompt and courtesy service, and reasonable price. i fixed my garage door myself before so i think was quite handy. I tried this vendor for the first time to fix my broken spring. They live to their excellent standard by their good review. The technician showed up within two hour window as promised, replaced the spring, whola, my garage door comes to alive again. He even replaced my broken light bulb at my request. I will recommend them to every friend, unless you want to impress your in-law by DYI

I'm very happy with my new garage doors. I'm glad I've chosen Bay Area Overhead Door. Their price was very competitive and their service is great All around we had a great experience. I called in not knowing exactly what we needed, and Mariana was very helpful in presenting us with door options/finishes/etc. She is very professional, responsive and courteous. I am very impressed by the response time and service provided by this company. Adonias did a great job getting the doors in. He is very respectful, did clean work and had a great attention to detail. Both of our doors were completed without any issues - and now we have beautiful new garage doors! I would highly recommend this company for your future garage door needs.

They did a great job. While I was at their shop, I noticed a garage door style that I especially liked the way it worked, I asked them about it and we made a deal for them to come out a couple of weeks later and do that. The service was just fine.

They and quot;repairedand quot; it well enough, and were there the day after I called. However, 3 days after the and quot;repairand quot;, one of the springs broke. It happened on a Saturday: a day where they don't work. So, we had to call someone else, since my husband's car was stuck inside the garage.

I contacted Bay Area Overhead Doors because they had installed the door originally 18 years ago.
The telephone operator was polite and professional and gave us an estimate for the service over the phone.
She set us up with an appointment for the next day.
The repairman showed up within the time frame we were given.
He was professional and friendly and demonstrated a firm knowledge of the skills necessary to complete the repair.
The bill for the repair was the same as we were given by the phone operator.
We are very satisfied with the service.

We had a very old (about 50 years old) wooden garage door that had been patched during a previous paint job and was now peeling. I was about to scrape, patch, and repaint the door; however, my wife convinced me to just replace it. We began looking at doors at Home Depot and on the internet. We also noted that Costco sold them. We also visited a couple of local firms that had showrooms to view doors and garage door openers and to determine what we wanted.
After all the information gathering, I began to get pricing information. Home Depot wanted to charge for someone to come out and give us an estimate. I refused that offer but did get an estimated price from them. We had the people sent out by Costco, and 2 local providers come out to give us estimates. All three quoted the same door and type of garage door opener.
Bay Area Overhead Door gave us the most competitive pricing. The information on Angie's list did not help much as most contacts were for repairs, not new installations. We went with Bay Area Overhead Door and the installation occurred about 10 days after I signed the contract. It went fine with one workman taking 6 hours to remove the old door, tracks, and opener and install the new one.

The person arrived on time and found and fixed the problem causing the garage door to malfunction. He also did routine maintenance on the garage door.

The garage door was only going up five inches and stopping. They came out and fixed it so it runs very well and very quiet now.

We were told over the phone it would be $75 for the service call. When the Bay Area Overhead Door guy arrived, he said his office required him to charge $150 because it was a 2 hour job. He said that if he removed our garage door completely, which is what we requested, it would be $300. I was only told about the $75 when I made the appointment. We decided to pay Bay Area Overhead Door just the $75 for the service appointment and we had another contractor complete the work who was much easier to work with.

"THE CUSTOMER ASKED US TO ASSIST THEM IN HAVING THE JAMBS REPLACED BY ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. IN ORDER TO DO THIS WE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO REMOVE THE TRACKS WHILE THEIR CONTRACTOR REPLACED THE JAMBS, & THEN REINSTALL. WE ALSO EXPLAINED OUR FEE, WHICH IS A MINIMUM $75 FOR THE 1ST HALF HOUR + $75 AN HOUR THEREAFTER. THE CUSTOMER KNEW WE COULD NOT GIVE A FIRM QUOTE OVER THE PHONE; WE WOULD NEED TO SEE THE JOB 1ST. OUR SERVICEMAN ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED, BUT THE CONTRACTOR WAS NOT THERE. HE GAVE THE CUSTOMER A FIRM QUOTE OF $150 TO REMOVE EACH TRACK TO ALLOW THE CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE THE OLD JAMB AND REPLACE IT, THEN REINSTALL THE TRACK TO THE NEW JAMB. OUR SERVICEMAN WAITED, CALLED OUR OFFICE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM, BUT THE CONTRACTOR NEVER ARRIVED. THE CUSTOMER ASKED IF WE COULD JUST TAKE THE ENTIRE DOOR DOWN, SINCE THE CONTRACTOR WAS NOT THERE. AFTER CHECKING AGAIN WITH OUR OFFICE, OUR SERVICEMAN EXPLAINED THAT WOULD TAKE MORE TIME AND WE WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE THEM ACCORDINGLY. THE CUSTOMER TRIED SEVERAL MORE TIMES TO REACH THE CONTRACTOR, BUT WAS UNABLE. THE SERVICEMAN WAITED FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR. THE CONTRACTOR NEVER SHOWED UP, SO THE SERVICEMAN COULD NOT PERFORM ANY WORK. THE CUSTOMER PAID THE MINIMUM SERVICE CHARGE OF $75. WHILE WE UNDERSTAND THE CUSTOMER’S FRUSTRATION WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE THE JOB DONE AS SCHEDULED, THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY DUE TO THE ACTIONS OF OUR COMPANY. IF THEY WANT TO POST A NEGATIVE REPORT, IT SHOULD BE IN REFERENCE TO THEIR CONTRACTOR, NOT US."

I was not impressed with this company at all. They failed to complete the first drawn out agreement as it was that we needed a clearance of 6'4 and they had only made it 6'2. My husband is 6'3 and he ended up hitting his head on the door. I did call them and they just told me to have him bend his head down. I did threaten to cancel the credit card payment so they did come back out and made the clearance 6'4.

The company came out on a Saturday to do the work. I have used this company now for about seven years. It took about five hours to complete the job. They had also installed a new garage door opener. This company also has sent new batteries for the remote every year to me.

This company came and took off our old garage door, and installed a new garage door. This company did excellent work on the installment. The employees that work for this company are very professional. I felt that they did very good work. I was happy with my overall experience with this company.
