They were the slowest movers I've used. There were 3 men, the foreman did almost nothing. He mostly put my hanging clothes in boxes. He worked in slow motion. They wrapped everything up like crazy to kill time and use a huge excess of packing materials, even though I had already packed everything. They wrapped up my old moldy sofa and taped it like crazy. I moved my own dishes, TVs, hanging pictures, stereo system, and anything else delicate beforehand, and to save cost. They charged me for an hour extra, on top of the slowness. What should have taken an hour to load on the truck took 3 hours. I was not happy but just paid it.

My belongings were driven by a contracted driver in a rented truck. Upon arrival, the driver left to go to Labor Ready to get help to unload. He returned with three (3) men. The helpers did not place my boxes where they were told and most of my boxes, clearly marked "fragile" with tape indicating such in large letters, were damaged; there was lots of broken crystal. I had to insist that the furniture be assembled as they had indicated they would do in the contract. The driver left to cash the cashiers check I had given him after having demanded CASH so he could pay his expenses and have money to return home. He left to cash the cashiers check, taking one of the workers with him, returning about 90 minutes later. Furniture was broken and otherwise damaged; crystal was destroyed; parts were lost. Needless to say, this was a move from the outer limits. 6 months later, I am still reeling from the experience.

My worst move ever. I felt taken advantage of. 1) We requested morning, they couldn't commit. They called the day before & said they would arrive between 4-6pm. They called that day & said they would arrive 8:00pm. They started at 8:30pm and finished at 3:30am. Not a good experience. 2) They quoted by phone no extra charge for packing materials, but they charged us $900 for packing materials. 3) They did not complete the section of the contract indicating price for packing materials until they were finished packing. They charged $25 per cardboard box, $3.50 per foot of bubble wrap. 4) The foreman said he would crate a China cabinet to prevent damage. We asked how much it would cost, and he said that a crate is $50. He charged us $265 in materials. 5) They would not unload our belongings (at 3am) until we paid all charges. 6) The foreman fell asleep in the truck. 7) Only good thing is no damage to our belongings. 8) A work colleague said she also was overcharged for materials.

Scheduler gave me confidence they are the right company. Movers came on time. Helped me pack, disassemble the furniture, load their truck. At the new place, they moved everything, including very heavy file cabinets (still full) and furniture, up one flight of stairs. They also reassembled the furniture. They worked very hard, very easy to deal with. You can get better prices on Craig's List, but All Safe's price is very reasonable, and they are a professional moving company. I would hire them again.

The movers showed up on time and were very professional. Signed a contract right away that listed the price per hour and miscellaneous fees for supplies and such. They do not charge a fuel surcharge like other companies but they do charge you 5% for using a credit card (which they quoted 3% over the phone). If you book your move in advance, be sure to get a copy of the contract sent to you before the move so that you can work out any discrepancies. The movers wrapped everything, including the mattress. We didn't have any breakages or damage. The move took about 6 hours. I did recommend these movers to a friend who was moving last minute within Mountain View, and she said that they sent a subcontracted company who were horrible. So be sure to request that All Safe movers move you and not a subcontractor.
