I had several contractors give me estimates on my roof (and gutters), and Tower was the most expensive, by over 10%.  I still chose to go with them because their estimator spent a bunch of time with me going over all the things I wanted to make sure were done when I had my roof done.  He was really thorough and noted all the details had questions on, pointed out the areas that they would have to touch up, and made me feel like I was going to get all my concerns addressed and a get high quality job, and I thought that way I would not have to spend my time babysitting the job to make sure it was done right.

Originally I was planning to have my house tented after the old roof was removed before the new one was put on.  A friend recommended that idea to me after a tenting company tore up his brand new roof.  The scheduler from Tower told me they would come Thursday morning and tear the roof off and have the plywood down by Friday afternoon so the tent could go on.  I ended up having to cancel the tenting because I couldn't get help moving the required stuff out of my house.  Even with the tenting, the work was originally supposed to last just a week.  I am thankful that I had to cancel the tenting otherwise I still might not have a roof.

The guys who came didn't bother to read their instructions that I was getting new gutters and spent A LOT of time working around them and fixing damaged trim that was going to get removed in anyways.  After watching them for most of Friday I had to ask the lead worker why he was doing this, and this is when he broke out his instructions and it dawned on him as he read them for the first time that he wasted a bunch of time and material.

To make a really long story less long, one of the guys came on Saturday to try and "catch-up" for the time they had fallen so far behind on.  They finally completed the roof after a week of work.  When I went to go inspect the work, I saw areas that were braced with splintered scrap wood, instead of new construction materials.  What a joke.

The gutter people were not even available to start their work when they were supposed to (immediately on completion of the roof), and I had to wait even longer, a full week after the roof was done because apparently the material they had ordered for the job had not even showed up yet!

The big issue here was in the place of the old gutters, they had the transitions from the roof line to the edge of the house, now approximately 8 inches lower, which is much less visually appealing, and very problematic in the spot where one goes right over my gate, which I now have to duck under to avoid hitting my head.  They also didn't read their instructions and didn't have the gutters in the front of the house drain onto the lawn as I had requested instead of the planter boxes which causes me problems when it rains.

So all of this was a pain, but the real insult came when I got the bill with many hours added on to the estimate, raising the already high price EVEN MORE.  I couldn't believe the audacity of the proprietor after I had spoke with them about the countless hours wasted on the job.  It only got worse, when I asked him to break down his estimate to show that the additional hours were not overcharging as I claimed, and he refused.

It went very well.  I thought they were cost effective.  They knew what they were doing.  They came when they said they would.  They prompt, neat, and professional.

Before deciding on a roofer to re-roof my house, I received quotes from  four different roofing companies. Comparing what was offered by each and the price, I selected Tower Roofing.  Harry Early, the estimator for Tower Roofing, provided the best description of the quote that he offered and explained in detail why his was the best choice of the four quotes. He gave us addresses of homes with the color choices of the shingles.

The roofing was done over several days and the results look excellent! 

I would highly recommend Tower Roofing to anyone needing a roof. They are rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau and deserve that rating from our experience.

Still waiting to see what they recommend for a permanent fix.

Work activity was well managed, employees were knowledgeable and skillful, work was high quality.  Owner/manager was onsite frequently during work activity and talked with me and offered advice when options were available.  Recommended contractors for work outside scope of re-roofing (stucco repair, painting, gutters).

I used them for new gutters. Everything went as planned, price was competitive, gutters work perfectly.

Tower removed my wood shake roofing, installed oriented strand board sheathing, felt, edge metal, valley flashing, and the Certainteed "Presidential" style asphalt shingle. They also made repairs to the wood eaves.  I am very satisfied.  There were no surprises, and I was warned in advance of problem areas and repair of them was included in their bid.  I solicited bids from 4 firms and Tower was lowest, including the wood repair that none of the other bidders identified in advance.  They cleaned up each day and kept me informed.  I would recommend them without hesitation.

They did an excellent job.  Repaired and painted all surfaces.  Did the roof in a very timely manner.  Very neat and courteous.

I have a 10 year old slate roof that had developed several leaks around
the vent pipes. My first problem was finding a roofer that was skilled at slate roofing.  I contacted 4 local roofing companies in the Santa Barbara CA area (Tower being one of the 4) and received quotes.  In the end Tower ended up with the lowest cost, not so much because his quote was lower but because the owner quoted an approach to repairing the problem that was more creative and thus more cost effective, with the same results.  I found them very professional, on time and the quality of work excellent.  The office can be a little slow at responding to initial quote requests (which I noticed other respondents mentioned) but once they get things scheduled everything went off as agreed. In the end I got a quality repair job at a cost lower than what was quoted by the other roofers.  Tower appears to be a smaller family run business so the owner is actively involved and his crew were clearly knowledgeable & skilled at what they do.  I would defiantly hire them again

They did a wonderful job. It took a crew of 10-15 people to tear off the roof in less than 4 hours. 1 or 2 hours later they had 2 guys show up to install the roof. The whole thing was well organized and executed. I would highly recommend them.

Everyone from the estimator to the installers were very professional and provided quality service and work.  I don't know if the price was the best I could get since I never ended up getting another estimate.  After talking to Tower I knew I wanted to work with them.
Part of my roof was not straight due to an original construction defect.  Tower had several people, including the owner, at my house trying to figure out how to improve the appearance without spending a lot of money.  They made it look much better for just a few hundred dollars.
The only problem I had was that the demo crew (Tower contracts out the demo portion of the job) pulled the old gutters off and in some places they were screwed to the fascia boards.  Now there are some gashes in the fascia I need to patch and paint.
I never mentioned this to Tower so I don't know if they would have made the repairs.
I believe Tower Roofing is a 100% professional and reliable company!

Overall  Tower Roofing, is a honest, professional and trustworthy company to hirer. He came to my house on he's time and took his latter from his truck to surveyed my roof to see if there was any problems that needed to be addressed. I was lucky there wasn't any, but he could have told there was and I would have believe him!

Tower roofing did excellent work on my house.  They provided good information through several visits by the estimator.  They provided both samples and addresses to assist us in making a choice about roof colors.  They allowed us to do some of the work on damaged rafters in order to keep the cost down.  They scheduled the job around our schedule and did it promptly.  They gave us a price break on some of the repair work.  They did a good job of replacing the roof and cleaned up afterward.  They replaced the gutters a desired.  They were ver professional in all of their interactions with us.  They stuck with their estimate on the job, i.e. there were no hidden fees.  Overall, we were very satisfied with the work done by Tower Roofing.

Everything was done super promptly. As soon as I called,I got called back,and an estimate was planned for the following day.That was a thursday. We were able to have the gutters installed the following tuesday.We  rent out our proerty,and have new tenants coming in soon.So the promptness really helped us.Their work was very good. We are really happy with them.

I thought they were professional, they showed up on time and they did a good job on the roof.   They were able to match the roofing material pretty closely to what was there.  They cleaned up everything.  I was happy with the work. Over all they were good.  The price was a little high but it was worth it.  I will use them in the future.
