We woke up to minimal hot water. I called RJ Carroll around 8 in the morning. They explained their billing policy ($87 an hour, minimum, billed to a credit card, with the balance assigned to the card at the end of the repair). I agreed. The plumber showed up within forty minutes, and I showed him the existing situation to the best of my understanding of our home and the plumbing.
At the end of the repair, the plumber (sorry, can't remember his name), gave me a thorough walk-through of his repair and recommendations for the future. We discussed why replacement of the water heater was unnecessary at this time, and the considerations that would be needed when it was replaced, based upon the water pressure readings that were taken at different points in the home plumbing. Modifications to the shut-off valve, near a water softener were also discussed.
The plumber was professional, informed, and communicated his work clearly to me. He listened to my concerns and was responsive. He also pointed out a vent missing a cap that should be installed. (It was not something he carried as a standard item on the truck, although I should say that when I called, they asked me the size of my water heater....my guess is that the plumber was prepared to replace the water heater if it had been necessary.)
After the work, I received a billing statement from the company identifying the work completed and the billing to my card.
I was very satisfied with the work completed, the competence and professionalism of the plumber, and the result of the repair.

After the installation, there were certain rooms that were not getting hot water, it was taking close to 5 min. to even get warm. I called the company back and they sent Scott out to verify that a valve was installed incorrectly. They agreed but wanted me to pay for parts and labor for their mistake.
