PROSTAR CLEANING THE CLEANING DOLLS

Prostar and The Cleaning Dolls presented itself as a professional cleaning service. But they were anything BUT professional. The cleaning women who actually came to clean the house did a fair job and I did not have any complaints about their service. It was the owner/manager of the cleaning service, Joanne, that was unprofessional, erratic, rude, moody and nasty on the phone. I put up with her attitude for some time because our vacation house is located in a rural part of Santa Barbara where I thought there were not a lot of options for cleaning services. She knew this and was consistently insulting, rude, whiny, and unprofessional about the job. I was not treated as a well-paying client should be. For some time I endured the owner's condescending attitude in order to get my vacation house cleaned, but the service declined as well. Overall Prostar Cleaning Dolls service was unreliable. Sometimes I would arrive at the house for the weekend (it is a vacation house) to find either that no one had come to clean as scheduled, or that the cleaning done from the last time was incomplete -- with wet laundry getting musty in the washer, dishes dirty in the dishwasher, or bed linens uncleaned from the last visit. I addressed this with the owner/manager of Prostar and the Cleaning Dolls often. They would blame the cleaning women they sent and send another crew, but apparently Prostar could not keep good staff, and because every time they cleaned there was someone new coming to clean the house, I would have to start over with what i wanted cleaned and how I wanted it cleaned (via fax from my other home.) It was a hassle. I eventually found out that the company treated their cleaning ladies unfairly; One of the women who cleaned a couple of times at the house found my cell phone number and called me directly to complained to me that she was not being paid enough of the money that she knew I was paying company ($150 per visit for 2 ladies for 2 hours. She claimed she was only paid $20 each time she came.) I did not address this with the owner. And this woman apparently quit. I have since found a wonderful cleaning service without all the drama, hassle and unprofessionalism of Prostar. I don't want anyone else to waste their time and energy with Prostar, the Cleaning Dolls or Joanne. It is not worth it. That is why I wrote this candid review.
