Plumber came at 403PM. Reached into toilet and pulled out screwdriver.
Snaked drain with a small hand snake.
I had completely pulled items under sink the night before and had carefully
removed plastic trap which was in PERFECT CONDITION. I was careful!!
Was hoping the trap had clog so I would not need to request plumber but was clean
and NOT CRACKED!
Plumber was done in 20min but came out saying my plastic trap was cracked - BALONEY!
He either knelt on it or sat on it of craced it on purpose...I'm not sure which but it was NOT CRACKED.
He took another 10min doing who know what and came back with a stainless steel trap. I should have
challenged him at that time.
I get the bill for $172.98!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? $110.00 minimum which Is obscene but expected since they are not the
type of company who would charge anything less for a 20min job (+ 10 min because he broke by trap) but I was okay with that.
But they charged me $20 for using the snake??? How do they usually unclog a drain? With their tongue? And another $45 for a replacement trap which I hereby swear that he broke! They should replace what they broke! But Lewis Plumbing did not man up. They just saw an opportunity to stick it to me.
$173 to unclog a VERY EASY sink and a reach into the toilet! All in 30min? Oh, boy! Was I lucky?
I will never use these snakes again (opps! maybe another $20?) and since they are no better than rug cleaners, I recommend everyone stay away from this dishonorable company. They are out for your money any will not be upfront with you. After all, at $110.00 an hour they still feel the need to gauge you if you want them to use the tools of their trade. Absolutely disgusting!
Try someone else. You can't do worse. They charge $20 to use the tools of their trade? Enough said! Can you believe it?
