It went very well. He was in the average price range, and gave me a fixed price on the project, no matter whatever additional damage he found he would complete it to Zoning's requirements. He was the only major contractor in the area with an Angie's list rating and it was an "A" at that. He was always available to me by phone and e-mail and answered my questions to my satisfaction, and made sure that I was in charge, not the Architect or the Consulting agent who really ripped me off financially. Our real problem with this project was with the City of Santa Barbara Zoning and Building Department. It took almost a year to complete a two week project as we would get a different inspector for each review that would add (or delete) zoning violations and change everything sooo... back to the architect and consultant many times all at increased charges of course. David Chase was the only "positive" in the whole project. He was honest, forthright and timely. I highly recommend him based on my experience. I know other contractors would not of hung in there with me for all of the city's mandated delays.

He is very informative and professional. He seemed very honest and didn't seem like he was trying to get me to do more than I needed do.

From start to finish the job was spectacular and a wonderful experience. We would not hesitate to contact Karl for any future projects in his line of work.
